Who else thought Gir was the funniest charicter ever to brace the screen?

zim: do you know what this means?
gir: Yes!
zim: {pause} you don't really, do you?

gir: i love this show.

zim: what did you do with the telscope?
gir: nothin'
zim: you havn't thoched it? somthing is broken and it's not your fault?
gir: I know, i'm scared too.

I found his non-sequiters hilarious. Also just his utter innocence made him the perfect counterpart to Zim's meglomania.

One of my favorite Gir moments was when Zim was trying to test Gir's new guidance chip by getting lost in the city. Of course when time comes for Gir to turn his guidance back on he informs Zim that he removed the chip to make space for a cupcake :)

GIR was always good for a laugh. I think that his being on Invader Zim owes a lot to Jhonen putting a lot of odd, non-human sidekicks into his work (the Doughboys, Nailbunny, the Burger Boy, Spooky, Sickness, Shmee, etc.).

I miss Zim already. In a little demonstration of what's to come, Nick didn't air Zim last night, replacing it with "Fairly Oddparents". It's almost like they're taunting the fans.
