Okay, kiddies! I noticed that the lovely F&G board is lacking games of much substance. And I dunno about you, but I've been starved for a trivia thread. I could pick one topic, say Harry Potter, but why do that when it could have so much more potential with a wider field? So: Nerd Trivia. From anime/manga to sci-fi books, Trek to Simpsons, King of Fighters to Animal Crossing, eh?
One thing, though: make sure your question is clear, and (if necessary) confirm it if someone answers correctly or incorrectly, okay?
*rubs hands together* Let's get started! I'll try something kinda easy...
In the Harry Potter books and movies, what animal can Professor McGonagall transfigure into?
Zubby

A cat.
Not a cat in a sink http://catsinsinks.com/
ot a cat with stuff on it http://www.stuffonmycat.com/
ot a cat that looks like Hitler http://www.catsthatlooklikehitler.com/
but just a plain old cat.
OK, what's the name of the boy Lisa tells Homer she likes in the SImpsons episode where bart goes to Knoxville and becomes an air courier?

Lisa said she likes Langdon Alger (whoever that is.) And the episode title is 'Bart On The Road.'
My turn:
In 'Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan', what classic novel did Chekov discover in Khan's 'livingroom' ?
(For bonus points, mention why it's no arbitrary choice.)

Easy, Moby Dick by Herman Meville.
An esspiecally approrate choice, considering Khan's own Ahab-esque obesseon over Kirk.
Question: In Walter M. Miller's "A Canticle for Leibowitz", what is the "Flame Deluge" and what were it's effects?

Question: In Walter M. Miller's "A Canticle for Leibowitz", what is the "Flame Deluge" and what were it's effects? Hmmm, I'm guessing furious burning rage. Question: The voice director in "Courage the Cowardly dog" was the English voice actor of an older anime. Hint: In all of the episodes his character grunted atleast once. Hint 2: He played the voice of "Robot Randy" in an episode of Courage.

I hope the mods aren't going to be sore about my breaking the four-post rule.
IIRC, the Flame Deluge refers to the nuclear war which destroyed human civilization ('A Canticle for Leibowitz' is a post-apocalyptic novel- IMO, one of the best.)

Since there is no previous question, I'll make my own:

Since there is no previous question, I'll make my own:
Where is the Second Foundation?
Simple, at Star's End :p
As to my first question: Sorry Bill, it's wrong. Sharklady got it right! :)
Now for our next trivia question:
What does a Fireman do in Ray Bradbury's "Fahrenheit 451"?

A fireman's job is to find illegal books and burn them.
My turn:
What are the three slogans of the Party from George Orwell's 1984?
Sharklady

WAR IS PEACE
FREEDOM IS SLAVERY
IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH
No wonder '1984' is still in print.

I'm going to take a wild guess: Transylvania and Dracula.FOR SHAME! *points* It's Aramaic, though I'm not sure of the speaker Sharklady referred to.
Since you already asked something, we'll just use that:
What is the Weed Of Deceit?

^ Well done- Space Chief gets the bonus points!
And Kury Wagner gets credit for the correct answer- 'Avada Kedavra' is Aramaic for 'Let The Thing Be Destroyed.' (brrrrrr.....)
