... a cartoon from the 1970s Hanna-Barbera New Tom and Jerry Show!!
And it featured our favorite Tom and Jerry co-star: The Duckling !! Seriously! I never knew the little fella ever appeared outside of the theatrical cartoons.
It was pretty bad. The plot had Tom and Jerry helping the Duckling go South for the winter. Tom and Jerry, like usual in these cartoons, are buddies who are always willing to help out. Tom made no attempt to eat the Duck.
And the Duck himself didn't talk in that cute 'ducky' voice we all love, but in a weird little kid voice. He mispronounced all his "r"s and "l"s, like Tweety does.
I think I'm going to have nightmares tonight. :o

Oh yeah, that one. *SHEESH* Those ones stink. Oh, Jon, I have a little song for you that might help with you nightmares, Ahem...:
Set you dial, for a while,
have a laugh, have a smile,
It's the TOM & JERRY SHOW!
You'll begin, with a grin,
when you first tune us in,
It's the TOM & JERRY SHOW!

I'm calling an EXORCIST ... ;) :) :D
I wish I had Boomerang, it'd be fun to see that evil show just once to see what it's all about.
Sounds creepy...

As I've said before, there is only one decent Tom and Jerry cartoon in that whole 1975 bunch, where the two battle with a bulldog on the beach. They're still pals, but at least Hanna-Barbera had the sense to keep this cartoon dialogueless, which means instead of the usual H-B made-for-TV gabfest all of their mid-70s cartoons were, this one has to rely on visual gags to get everything across (and of course also means it stays loyaler to the original series).

Oh yes, I remember that one! Pretty lame, isn't it?!?
By the way, that obnoxious duck voice was provided by the late great voice man Don Messick...

Sorry if this is blatainly obvious but I saw a newish T&J today from 2000. Seems to hark back to the old days with big house, owner whose face can't be seen, plently of gags, old style Tom and Jerry etc.
