I like the CSI series. It's actually the only live-action show I even regularly watch nowadays.

'Nature', on PBS.
The subjects have to be intelligent, 'cause the dumb ones get eaten pretty fast.

LOST, british sitcoms. I watch a lot of documentaries and I guess they're considered "smart"

I watch a bunch of shows on Discovery Channel (go Daily Planet!) and stuff...
And a bunch of thos mentionned here, but one of my favorite right now is the canadian show 'the Collector'. It's really well done, a real emotionnal roller coaster and you never know if it'll end badly or happily.
I also miss the CBC comedy 'Made in Canada'... that show was sweet!
"I think that went well."

Nobody's said West Wing yet??!!
And Dalek, I can't believe I'm saying this, but I don't think 24 should be considered an "intelligent" show. Of course the writers are geniuses when it comes to edge-of-your-seat suspense, but it's more geared toward those who are entertained by tactically plotted thrill rides rather than people who can sit back next to the fire, sipping a fine martini and contemplating the intellectual drama of a show about people dealing with intangible issues.

"House" is really the only network TV show I watch currently, so it wins by default.
