Very, very cool Fantastic Four promo for Toonami running down the characters with Peter Cullen after his long break. Nice and blue.

Darn, beat me to it. Yeah, it was pretty sweet. Love blue as the new official color for commercials.
Animation looked nice and solid. love the designs in action.

Guess I'm going to have to set the computer for the entire night's run again, nearly maxed-out external hard drive or not.
I WILL see that promo! http://img201.imageshack.us/img201/3880/grumpsuy8.gif (http://imageshack.us)

I don't think blue is the new official color, i think its just blue because thats the Fantastic Four's official color.

I only caught the tail end of the promo but I have to say I'm impressed with the animation. I thought that since it was being done by some French company it wouldn't look too great but it's pretty impressive. And out of all the four puns they could of used "Four part harmony"... well I guess it works at least. Still good to hear Cullen back to doing promos, ironically when IGPX ended and his role of announcer there with it.

Sweet promo, made even sweeter with Peter Cullen. Man, the show's looking nice, and I'm liking the Fantastiblue.

Invisible Woman can fly?
It looks like the show will take full advantage of Reed's stretchning ability, instead of him just using it in gimmick scenes.

Invisible Woman can fly?
She can ride on objects made of invisible force.
It's a little too early for me to judge, but I'm excited. The character designs (the "4" painted on Ben, Johnny's hair) don't thrill me, and neither do the uniforms, but that animation looks good at first glance.
We only hear Thing talk in the promo...he sounds decent...we'll see. This is the FF's fourth animated program, I believe, and I'm looking forward to it.

Ugh. I don't like the blue banners at all. Yellow was best, but they could at least revert back to the red. Heck, green would be better.
But ultimately it really annoys me that instead of getting full new looks each season or so, they're pretty much content to just change the coloring a bit, now. C'mon, guys, give us something new here.

Well, it has been proven in the Adult Swim bumpers that Willams Street is lazy most of the time.

That and they probably don't get a big budget from CN. Otherwise, there would be more TOM and the Absolution animation.

It was cool, and the show sounds awesome, but I believe from about 5 PM to 10:30 on Saturday it was shown about 8 or 9 times.
Talk about promotion.

talk about LATE promotion
unless you've been on the message boards or at comic cons, last Saturday would've been the first time you heard about the new FF series. Nothing like the absolute pimped out campaign for the '03 premiere of Teen Titans
Hellboy probably won't get any plugs until the weekend before the film premiere
and yet they went on and on and on...and on about the premieres of Bobobo and Pokemon Chronicles
on a positive note, really looking forward to watching on tape
i'll be on vaca in seattle this wkd, bumbershoot and other stuff, no time for toons

The blue banner is probably just for Fantasitic Four. We'll have to wait and see if it sees continued use.

Unfortunately due to the common new content it seems likely they don't get stuff as soon as they'd like to so they can't promote it with anything more than PR and text. That could have been the case here as well. It's not a CN original afterall.
We've recived nothing for Toon Zone News or the like yet, but I'm hoping they'll send us a copy of the first episode to review.
But no, up until this week, there's been very little promotion for the show - especially since it was announced it was in production well over a year ago.

I saw a new, slightly different promo for the show on CN today around noon. It looked like it had some of the same animation, but with some new shots mixed in. Whether Cullen did a different speech for it, well, that I don't know.

I saw it too, I believe that it's a completely different promo and might be a little longer (it says the names of the F4, and shows some animation), I'm not sure.

I'm curious of two things concerning Fantastic Four talkbacks.
1. Will the talkbacks fall under the rules of the Toonami board, where ANYONE can make it as long as it's after midnight, or will it be something similar to the DC Animation board, where only the mods can put up the talkback?
and
2. If it falls under the rules of the Toonami board (where ANYONE can make it), do we post it on the Toonami board or the Marvel Animation board?
Just curious.

Sorry for the double post (it has been almost an hour, so I think it's ok), but, out of a mixture of boredom and wondering when Sketch would get around to it, I made a talkback image for Fantastic Four:
http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j311/veemonjosh/toonamiblue.jpghttp://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j311/veemonjosh/Fantasticfourtalkback.jpg
I guess that could be used, unless Sketch makes one.
To anwser your question, I personally will be starting all talkbacks for Fantastic Four over at the Marvel Animation Forum, and will then mirror each talkback over here to the Toonami forum. You're more than welcome to join us in discussing the show over at the Marvel forum, if you aren't already doing so. We'd love to hear what you think so far!
We'll also be doing a new Fantastic Four site, once the show gets rolling a little. :)

If I recall, they did the same thing as JLU.
When I first saw the commercial, I was surprised at when it was set to a week later. I guess that's better than airing commercials nonstop for a whole month.

This isn't anything unusual. Most Toonami shows, movies, and acquisitions, and new seasons of shows in general, only get promos about a week in advance.

Nice. I liked the promo.
Now, I'll give the new Fantastic Four a chance. Looks like fun.

Unless otherwise stated, just assume all Marvel/DC Talkbacks work the same way as Stu mentioned above.

I always thought it was kind of unfair that Thing didn't get a 4 on him. I mean, I guess it would be hard to wear a uniform without ripping it, but he should at least have a 4 on him. Otherwise, it looks like the fantastic three with some rock thing.

Some of the variations on Thing's costume do have the "4" on him. Originally he was just in diapers, but he's got costumes with more to it than just the pants (and even then, sometimes he'll have a "4" on his belt). I guess he (and everyone else) just thinks it looks cooler and stronger without a shirt.
Ripping his uniform isn't a problem because they're made out of unstable molecules (hence how Reed's can stretch with him).
This isn't a Talkback for the series itself, just the promo. Remember that.
