Any word on what Toonami's new acquisitions are? What's coming after Pilot Candidate and 0083? Any hints or possibilities?

Settle down, they usually announce the new acquisitions for Toonami around mid-February. WS's still wheeling and dealing.
We can always speculate, but if we wait for a few more weeks we'll be rewarded. I suspect there are going to be quite a few suprises, especially with the coming shakeups at Fox kids and kidsWB all due to 4kids.

All Toonami has coming are 0083, PC, new DB episodes, and new DBZ episodes (September). 0083 and PC won't come until Adult Swim is done with them, though, so it's pretty much going to be dead.
Guys, guys! Like Mr. Obession said, new shows will be announced soon. Cartoon Network will announce their new shows within the next few weeks. So, until then, be patient.

Escaflowne is still a possibility for toonami. Mr. toonami producer loved the movie. but most definitely not this year.
Other possibilites Nadesico, kenshin were great according to him. NGE on a midnight run possibly someday he VAGUELY mentioned. In an article of anime invasion i picked up (Winter 2002 issue) Yes, i'm just as surprised as u. :)
Other possibilites could include MKR, Saber marionette J or a reactor show. (stuff they've mentioned in interviews).
U never no what could happen.

They've GOTTA get Record of Lodoss War: Chronicles of the Heroic Knight! It's just about the best (and ONLY) thing that keeps me accessing Reactor!

I don't know if they'll actually get them, but I saw Neon Genesis Evangelion mentioned in Reactor's "FeedBack" poll;
and The Slayers is mentioned in its recommendations section.
I'd like to see 'em get Evangelion
(Asuka Langley ist eine kleine Firecracker!)

ugh, still no Trigun?

[indent]Trigun was previously pitched to Toonami, but they turned it down due to the high level of drug use. Also, it might not work well on TV due to the drastic change in the tone of the series half way through. Some viewers might be turned off by that and viewers who would be apt to watch the latter part might not give it a chance due to the different tone of the early part.

I was also thinking that Oh My Goddest could be another series to chance on Toonami as well, so what do you guys think?

YES, EVA WOULD BE PERFECT FOR 5 PM!! ALL THE LITTLE KIDS WOULD LOVE IT!!
(And...Oh My Goddess! has about the same amount of action as Tenchi, if not more, judging by the manga...they blow up stuff every other page!!)

As long as the show has the same stuff as the manga then it should be fine. But isn't the series short? Like 6 episodes long. Or am I thinking of something else?

im hoping for the anime Fist Of The North Star
they would have to cut it up alot but it would be perfect for toonami, its almost non-stop action

Simply put, "Neon Genesis Evangelion" would stink on Toonami due to all of the self-imposed edits that Cartoon Network would have to make. By the time they took out all of the "objectional material" (the religious overtones, Misato's drinking, episode eight), it would be just another "guy with a mech" show. If they kept all that in, it would be perfect. But they won't.
