Kids WB sent us a preview tape of the Static Shock episode "The Big Leagues", with Batman, Robin and The Joker. I just finished watching it, and here are my thoughts:

1) I've never really watched Static before, but this was a very enjoyable episode, and there were sevral parts that made me luahg out loud.

2) I never thought I'd see a Batman action scene with a rap/hip-hop soundtrack!

3) Robin's new voice doesn't bother me as much as Superman's new voice on Justice League.

3) Batman is hunched over too much in the close-ups. He doesn't look very intimidating; he looks like he should see a chiropractor.

4) Gordon and Bullock appear for a split-second at the end. Joker also has a picture of Harley on his desk.

5) As long as you don't get too hung up on the continuity problems with BB:ROTJ, you'll probably enjoy it.

I'll take some screen shots this weekend and have a big news post about it by Monday. And hopefully some other TZ crew members will provide reviews to go along with it.

Glad to hear that you think it's a good episode. I generally like Static and am looking forward to the new season, Batman (as long as he's treated right) is just a very nice bonus. :)

Since you've seen it would you care to explain this:

Sure, I can explain the pic. But since it's from the very end of the episode, it's definitely a spoiler:

At the end, the defeated Joker extends his hand and says "Please Batman, help me", and we see a black glove grab his hand, which is then shocked by the Joker's joy buzzer. The camera pulls back to reveal that it was Static that grabbed the Joker's hand, and the buzzer doesn't affect him. Static says "That loosk like fun, let me try it!", and then he shocks the Joker, who passes out. Batman says "Not bad"... which is where that pic is taken.
