Homer The Great and Homer's Enemy. Two of the single greatest episodes ever made.

This doesn't fall in the "classic era", but am I the only one who absolutely loves "Homer to the Max"? That episode has so many quotable lines that I bust a gut every time I watch it. Plus, the non sequitor gag with Homer walking into a cactus gets me every time.

One thing I always enjoyed about the classic Simpsons episode are the Lisa Simpson's episodes because they're generally some of the most emotional and heartwarming to me. I remember "Lisa's Substitute" when she played her sax while the sub teacher she had a crush on watched from afar. Shame they had to cut that scene out when aired for TV for time space, it's so emotional to me, or maybe when she meet Bleeding Gums' spirit, or when she joined PeeWee hockey and nearly creamed Bart until they both remembered the fond sibling memories they shared. God, I loved those.
Oh, yeah, and I also loved the ending credits to "Mother Simpson" with Homer eyeing the stars with really beautiful music playing.

I was always a sucker for "Last Exit to Springfield". Don't know why, when it's on, I have to watch it. And of course who could forget "Camp Krusty".

I loved every Bart episode or Bart/Homer Duo episode they were all halerious. My favorite classic one has to be Homer V.S New York, that one made me laugh thew the whole episode and I'm not really a Homer Simpson fan. But every time some thing bad happend to Homer in New York, I laughed so hard.

Isn't this thread for actual discussion of individual episodes, rather than listing your favorite episodes?
I suppose we should start with "King-Size Homer" as a nod to the thread that led to this thread.

Okay.
The episode really picks up when Homer gains the weight- the best moment being when he takes his cape and walks out. The cape is awesome.

I always found "King Sized Homer" to be fairly decent. I think I mostly enjoyed the humor a lot more then the story (The classic "Where's the Any Key button" or the "Ahh, I can't decide without the pictures" from the overturned ice cream truck).
