I don't like the "dot" eyes on Scooby.

I had no idea a new Scooby cartoon was starting. I like the new design for Daphne, Shaggy, and Scooby. Fred looks a bit off, and I agree, Velma is dorkier than ever. Still, I may check it out.

Eww... I'm not a fan of Scooby Doo but...dang they look really bad...
I bet this show is cheap to animate...feels like those designs were made with some computer naimation program in mind. Remind me of a BAD at attempt at 6Teen style characters ><
Velma was HOT in 'What's New Scooby Doo?'... now she does look really dorky... her head is almost a frickin' square!
That really does look like its going be animated in Flash, it just has that *look* about it.

Well, at least Eric is so nice enough to urge people to give the show a chance. Being a Scooby fan, I could care less about the animation and I'll definitely give this show a chance.

Hey! A Marmaduke animated series!
No, wait...
Don't forget that Scooby-Doo and Marmaduke are both Great Danes. (Actually, I think Marmaduke has been animated before- he was part of the original lineup of Heathcliff.)
I agree that Velma looks too short, and I don't really like Daphne's eyes, but other than that, I like the character designs. The premise for the show sounds rather bizarre, though- Shaggy and Scooby (the latter of whom accidentially ate some robots, so hilarity should ensue) have to stop a supervillain from stealing Shaggy's inheritance? Could be good, could stink. Who knows? I can see why they decided to focus the series on Shaggy and Scooby alone- of the five, they are the most fleshed-out, well-known, and funniest of the characters.
To answer moumantai's question, according to the article, Shaggy and Scooby-Doo Get A Clue premieres September 23 on the CW (formerly the WB).

Eh, I don't think the new designs are too bad. Scooby kinda looks like he could be the goofy uncle of Ace on Batman Beyond. :p

I would watch an episode if Sarah voiced Daphe..but that's not happening.
The animation looks OKAY, but still abit sucky:sweat:

So, they got rid of Daphne's scarf, instead giving her a necklace... and boots. How modern. Nevertheless, her eyes don't quite match with the others'.
I anticipate the premiere... I've got nothing better to do on Saturday mornings.

Jinkies!
Oh man, talk about "Throwback".. this makes the old Doo look way better...
I mean Okay Daphne, and Shaggy look okay but Scooby, Fred, and especially Velma, look like throwbacks! (I mean I liked the old cute Velma... but this.. She (Velma) doesn't look dorky... she looks scary! Almost Evil Like (GAH!)
I think the first mystery they should have in this series is to find out if Bill Hanna is Spinning in his grave on this one...
Frankly I think I'll stick to the old "Doo.." thank you

Does anyone else think Daphne looks like Sarah Michelle Gellar? Velma looks kind of fat. The guys look kind of weird, but at least Shaggy has better clothes. The striped T-shirt looks similar to the striped shirt Fred had for WNSD. Well, at least no ascots. :p

Yes, by two former Scooby-Doo writers Joe Ruby and Ken Spears that aired on ABC-TV back in the 80's. Marmaduke also had a cameo on "Garfield & Friends" (a 1990 short that was full of sight gags).

The designs are hit and miss. I, too, have a dislike for the look of the 'new' Velma. Daphne's the only one whose change I'd say is an improvement... VA VA VOOM! :D
The interview with Eric did convince me to give the new show the benefit of the doubt. I'm hoping to fall in love with Scooby again after falling out towards the end of 'What's New.'
(In other news... he confirms 'Xiaolin Showdown,' which he worked on, was not renewed and Kids' WB's only airing repeats this fall.)
Oh, and 'cause it's not mentioned above... 'Get a Clue' is taking the 10 o'clock slot, which is being abandoned by 'Pokémon' next month. I also noticed that Kids' WB is getting a later start than everyone else this year... but then I remembered that The CW isn't launching until that week.
I would have given Velma some sneakers. She is dorktastic and not in a good way.
I like it yet I hate it. I need to watch it to see how they handle this.

Scooby-Doo Gets a Clue? More like Scooby-Doo Has No Clue!
Actually I feel it's more like Scooby Doo's Animators have no clue..I mean I think Delia is right on one part.. Give Velma at least some sneakers and maybe make her a bit taller (Heck she still scares me! She's not a dork! (heck I showed this shot to a couple of artists buddies of mine and one of them agreed with me. she doesn't look dorkish, she looks scary.
Heck it's like we've stepped into the twilight zone and are looking at what might have been 30 years ago!
but come on.. shape up Fred, Velma and Scoob a little.. heck Velma needs a complete makeover IMHO....

One of the reasons I don't watch the new-Scooby-Doo-anything (aside from the first theatrical film) is that pairing Scooby and Shaggy up ALL THE TIME is boring. They're too much alike - a pair of stupid cowardly gluttons. It gets old.

The end result was even more boring.

I'm at least going to give it a shot, I've been a fan of Scooby and Shaggy since Scooby-Doo was on Boomerang. Though I admit Velma/Fred/Scooby/Daphny look a bit weird, at least they did an ok upgrade on Shaggy LOL. I am curious about these villains that there talking about, what kind of villains would just keep chasing Shaggy's money? Sure there was the Boo Brothers movie, well I guess those guy's could come back, I don't know
