Has anyone attended one in the recent years? The last one I attended, i beleive, was in 1997.
i'm trying to get cast photos of the shows started/finished, and I'm trying to get the original crew first, for obvious reasons. I have them all seperatly, including Doohan and Kelly, but not on one sheet.
So, if i buy admission tickets for General Admission, and seperate autograph tickets, as well as photo op tickets, is there a good chance i'll get what i payed for, or should I just get the lowest priced researve seat ticket?
Thanks :)

Creation has gotten so out of whack cost wise. When I used to go in the 80's and early 90's. It was very cheap and sometimes free to get an autograph. Now they charge from $25-$75 per autograph...then charge another $40-$60 for a photo op. Now, I know some will say its the actors. Not so. I attended a con in King of Prussia last year and the entire cast of TNG (except Stewart) was there. And they only charged $20 per autograph. Or if you did the $40 photo op..the autograph was included. Also, I just attended the Chiller show in NJ. And both Frakes and Spiner were there. It was $20 for the autograph and I was able to take a pic with them. So the money Creation charges is them being freakin greedy!
The only thing Creation is good for is they usually get the big guns (Nimoy, Shatner, Brooks, etc). Although, even they are doing non-creation shows now.

King of Prussia>>>
Yep, I went to that too. it was still pretty expensive at $20's for a cast of about 8 people, but a MUCH better bargain than what Creation is charging. The problem is,they usually don't announce these things in advance, so as of now, this seems my only chance to get a cast photo started with the rare captains of the series..
I was more a fan of voyager and TOS than DS9, so I think I'll stick with a photo of from Mulgrew and Shatner only. I can always get Brooks at another time :).
I forgot the name of the company that threw that convention last year. Are they going to throw another? A Voyager cast one would be nice. That Con Company Slanted Fedora ran a DS9 one a few years ago. Wish I found a cast photo for that then.

I used to attend every Creation Convention that came to the Philadelphia area throughout the 1980's. Back then, the prices were reasonable ($8-$15 per day, depending on the number and caliber of guests), they covered a wide variety of media-oriented topics (Doctor Who, Blake's 7, comic books, and even a couple of Robotech-themed shows), instead of just Star Trek, and nobody charged for autographs. Later on, they became mercenary and signed stars to exclusive contract and the greed factor went through the roof. I gave up on them in disgust when they started their "preferred seating" policy circa 1990.
By the way, the infamous "Get A Life" skit with William Shatner on Saturday Night Live was based on a Creation Convention. The convention organizer (I think it was Kevin Nealon playing him) was a dead-on impersonation of Adam Malin, one of Creation's originators, and most frequently, the public face of Creation in those days.
