... are there plans to re-release all the old episodes of GI Joe & Transformers on new boxed sets?
I hope so.. I can't really find the older stuff..

I still seem them occasionally at Best Buy, and I'm sure Amazon has them. If somebody does rerelease them at some point, I'd only buy Season 2 of G.I. JOE because I already have Season 1. I wouldn't want to rebuy it unless it had some really worthy bonus features.

chances are this will be moved to the DVD thread
I don't know if anyone's picked up the rights to both shows after Rhino's expired. I still need to purchase TF S3. I'm in no rush because I was never a fan of TF G2 (post-movie). Didn't care for the new direction or the new characters (Rodimus, Galvatron, etc...)

Wasn't it some division of Sony that got the rights after Rhino? I thought I read that somewhere around the time G.I. JOE: Season 2, Part 2 was cancelled.

Yes, Sony now has the rights to it. It was a shame too I was one dvd set away from getting all of GI Joe on DVD.
I'd also love it if they release all the BGM on CD. I'd pay money for that.

I need to get TF season 3 and all of GI JOE. If they are going to release them again I hope they do it fast so I can add them to my collection and I mean to DVD not Blu-Ray Sony.

Rhino almost released all of Season 2 in one set, but then decided at the last minute to keep it split in half like Season 1. If they hadn't, we'd have all of Season 2 on DVD.
As for the music, composer Robert Walsh has been working on releases for his music, including G.I. JOE. Unfortunately, his website has said "coming this summer" since about 2002. He keeps saying he's "hammering out the details."

I need to get all of the G.I. Joe season sets so I hope Sony does re-release them with some good bonus material and with the original PSAs and also they need to remastered all the episodes as well.
It would have been nice if BCI would have gotten the rights to G.I. Joe because they would give the box sets the the DVD treatment they deserve.

P.S: you are talking about the Sunbow verson of GI Joe, right?

Yes, I think you've made that point before in several dozen other threads.
An old cartoon series like GI Joe being released on Blu-Ray? Unlikely.
