It was a neck and neck race for most of the week, Critters vs. Torch Song, who would come out victorious. By one vote, Torch Song took the crown of worst TNBA episode. Had enough of Batman, too bad! We move to the new generation of Batman as we begin the Batman Beyond rounds!

Golem. It was so boring. Another bland "geek gets revenge" story. **yawn**

I'm goin' with Golem, here. Now in doing that, I don't mean to bash the episode outright. After all, the animation, the performances, and the action sequences(much thanks to Butch Lukic on the latter) were all good, but I'm in the camp who finds Willie Watt (as a character) more like a spoiled rich kid getting a new toy than a sympathetic geek.
And I'm with Maxie Zeus on Heroes. I actually think it's a good episode, too.

Rebirth. 'nuff said.
-
Shriek. "What do you call yourself?" *Look* "Oh, right... I guess you would." 'nuff said.
-
Black Out. How did the final fight get past the censors?
-
Dead Man's Hand. Can't seem to go wrong with the Royal Flush Gang.
-
Meltdown. I always found it overrated, more so than Heart of Ice. But it was good.
-
Spellbound. Iffy. Terry actually being half-cured by a rock hurt the suspense. The overall plot and especially the supermarket hallucination were good, though.
-
Golem was pretty good, with an ending that proved they still know how to do villain-sendoffs.
-
The Winning Edge... eh. I liked the zero-g fight, and learning how baddies wound up is always good, but not much else here.
-
Didn't like Heroes. Can't say it has anything to do with a subconscious negative reaction to a perceived insult to my definition of "hero". It just wasn't that good. Vote.

The Winning Edge, easily. A plot in line with an afterschool special, and one of the early holes poked in the "teenage Batman" concept with Mary's uncharacteristic and cliche panic over the Slappers. The Slappers were an interesting idea as far as the future of Bane goes, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired.
