View Full Version : Toon Zone Talkback - OTAKON 2006: Bandai Reveals "Fighting Fairy Girl"
This is the talkback thread for OTAKON 2006: Bandai Reveals "Fighting Fairy Girl" (http://news.toonzone.net/article.php?ID=11903).
You know an anime's under the radar when not even ANN has an entry for it...
Actually, they do:

Hmm, blatantly Yukikaze related. As I suspected.

Indeed.
This show was released over a year ago.
It's not surprising ANN wouldn't list it as Fighting Fairy Girl though, as the direct translation is something more like "female battle fairy".
It's also rather old. I saw it a while ago. It was amusing, but it needed more episodes.

FYI, the main girl Mave-chan is the soul that was inside of the jet that the main character in Yukikaze flew.

Hmm. Bandai should have had it as a bonus on disc 3 of Yukikaze.

What else did Bandai show off at Otakon?

I understood that to be the original, announced plan.
Things obviously changed.

Yeah, because it's not listed on my LE Yukikaze vol.3 from what I can tell.

No wonder I couldn't find it, as I didn't know what the Japanese name was.
It can't be THAT old a release, as it has a trailer for Gundam SEED Destiny on it (The first new trailer I've seen from Bandai since...well...last year). It also had the standard trailers for GitS and Planetes.
So, there's only the one episode of it? Damn. The first episode got me interested in further episodes.
What else did Bandai show off at Otakon?
Nothing. When the Otakon guys saw that Fighting Fairy Girl only had one episode on it, they switched over to the first disc of Eureka Seven. (Of course, it took Otakon about a half-hour to actually find the Fairy Girl disc in the first place). And since they once again didn't have a panel or a booth, nothing special was shown off.

Sounds like The Neverending Story meets anime.

Meh, that's more along the lines of Twelve Kingdoms
I think I'm going to wait for this to be released cheap, even though it's Yukikaze related, it's not as directly related.
