i heard this riddle from my brother and he heard from his co-worker. we don't know what the answer is but maybe some of you can figure it out. here it is:
3 guys went into an hotel and rent a room together. the worker behind the desk says it will be $30, so that each person gives $10 to the worker, and he gives them the key to the room. soon after, the manager says that it should be $25 to rent a room, so the manager tells the guy to return $5 back to the 3 dudes. the worker figures that they can't evenly split $5 3 ways, so he keeps $2 for himself and return $3. so, the 3 guys who rent the room each get a dollar back and in essence, each of them paid $9 for the room. so, they actually paid $27 ($9 times 3 people) for the room and add that $27 to the $2 that the worker kept for himself and that totals $29, what happened to the $1 left from the original $30 that the 3 guys paid for?
any thoughts or ideas?
