I loved the "Greatest American Hero" ...

I think that probably still stands out as one of the
greatest live action superhero shows ever.
(no offense to Smallville ..).

Anyone else ever see this show?

Any favorite episodes?

Anybody know of any interesting fansites?

I also loved this show. I remember never wanting to miss an episode. It was a very interesting take on the superhero genre. Connie Selleca (sp?) was one of my early TV crushes (she was and is a hottie). I haven't seen an ep for a long time and wish the shows would be rerun somewhere.

FX used to play the reruns ... but my cable carrier didnt
run FX at the time .

Now I have satelite and I cant find the show anywhere !!

This is the sort of show I wish theyd release a season sets
for on DVD. (Im not holding my breath).

I thought the suit was pretty cool.

I always hoped DC or Marvel would pick up this property
and do a comic series on the character. Like a Vertigo title maybee.

I think he could have given Superman a run for his money ...
what were all his powers :

Flight
Invulnerability
Invisibility
Tactile Prognostication
(in one episode he learned to shrink )
Telekenisis.

I think this show was just incredibly great. They re ran the pilot movie a couple years ago, but I had to miss it cuz I was in a car accident. :( I keep hoping the cult interest in this show will be enough to spark a DVD release of the entire series.

I always liked the fact that Ralph had to figure out what the suit did and how it did it. I enjoyed the reluctant & unassuming superhero angle the show had.

I dont think theres probably enough of a cult interest
for them to create DVDs.

I can hardly find fan sites on the web ...
and if the studios dont think Babylon 5 has
enough fan interest to support season sets .. Greatest
American hero has very little chance.

But If they made them id buy them !!!

I heard they made a spin off to this show with
another guy getting the suit - but it didnt catch on.

I never saw it though.

Anyone remember the episode where he ends up on the
spaceship that give him the suit ?

Well, I also have a hard time finding fan sites for Twin Peaks, but look how strong the support for that series is after all these years. Perhaps a better avenue would be to petition to get this series back on the air, such as TBS or TV Land, and get more interest in the show first. I would love to see this show up on TV again.

Now thats an idea ...

You start the petition Cal ... I'll sign it.

Hell , I dont even need them to release it
on dvd - just rebroadcast it.

I figured out how to make my own dvd's
from broadcast shows. ( Im currently making Justice
League dvd's with screenshots and chapter menus
minus commercials.)

You get them to rebroadcast the show ... Ill make you
some DVD's.

the funniest thing about this show is that the guy does not know how to fly and the character of Maxwell keep saying "scenario."

Who owns the rights to this show right now? I checked a FAQ on one of the sites devoted to the series, and I saw it was rebroadcast on FX. If Fox has it, a DVD set may not be out of the question.
