I know I'm not the only lunatic who still likes this show after more than 15 years. Anyone else out there like it? I'm designing my own web page to house both my Tom and Jerry artwork and a collection of Small Wonder episode transcripts I'm writing up. As of now only one (rough) transcript has been posted, although five more are on the way.

Let me know what you think.
And please, dont respond to this thread by saying how much you hate the show. I know it's not THAT well liked.

Ya know, I really didnt mind Harriet all that much, especially in later seasons when she paired up with Vicki often. Now the rest of her family (Brandon, Bonnie and the later Ida Mae) were characters I could have done without. Why Ted put up with Brandon's nonsense is beyond me.
I wish this show aired in some capacity too, but truth be told Fox hated this show considerably. I'm sure they're sitting on the show hoping it never airs again. I remember being 6 years old and seeing the show for the first time. I loved it! It was a highlight of my Saturday afternoons. I forgot about it for almost 12-13 years before I ran across some old tapes of mine with several episodes. After a tape trade last month, I ended up with all 96 episodes. A pretty good run for a show it's parent network hated.
So, kiddiesunshine, visit my page?

LOL. Small Wonder, I can hear the theme song now. Yeah, I loved that show, I think the Sci-Fi Channel tried to get the rights when they first started, but instead they got "Out of this World" and My Secret Identity".
I had a huge crush on Vickie. Remember the one where the brother had a bully and Vickie picked him up. Ha, ha.... what no one remember?

Yes, that was called "The Fearless Five" The bully later ended up being cast as Savage's brother on The Wonder Years.
There are alot of really memorable episodes of Small Wonder. One that stuck out in my mind for years was the episode titled "Fat's Where it's At". This is the episode where Ted upgrades Vicki with an appetite and the gases in her system causes her skin to swell. Now, that itself was a pretty silly idea, but it was still an important episode as Jamie and his chubby friend Warren (after two years of trying) finally got the girls of their dreams. It also stood out as an important episode for Vicki, as she gets her first date and even goes to the prom. Too bad it will forever go down in history as the "fat Vicki" episode.
And that theme song was terrific, especially when they updated to for the later two seasons. Like I said before, Fox hated that show.

Yeah, she did go to her prom, but it was some sort of 7th grade prom. I didnt even know that had 7th grade proms.
Anyway, the show began September 15, 1985 and ran for four full television seasons, meaning by the fall of 1989 it was gone. Interestingly, the shows really werent shown on a season by season basis. They were shown in whatever order Fox wanted to air them. Like I said, Fox didnt care for it and TV Guide resented the show because they didnt want it to be so popular. Yes, Small Wonder had great ratings and won it's time slot over shows that rerun even today. I'm sure if Small Wonder reran today there'd be an audience for it.

It's sad she hasn't worked on TV in nearly ten years--she should make a comeback. She may not want to do sitcoms again, but with her psychological background, she'd be the perfect hostess for a documentary or a "Scared Straight" special.
