I got Wizard #179 in the mail today and discovered that they've changed the format of the magazine. Instead of the usual square spine, it is now bound like a regular magazine, with staples. Wizard Entertainment Group Chairman Gareb S. Shamus explains on page 8 that this new format is to accomodate the unprecedented amount of content that the magazine now features. However, I can't help but point out that now, the magazine will not be stackable (unless one alternatively stacks them upside-down) and will be impossible to line on one's shelf for easy access. What does everyone think of this unexpected change?

I prefer the old format, mainly because of the stacking issue you were talking about

I've had covers fall off and then pages coming out due to spine-glue melting after sitting in my car for a few hours. So I gotta say, I prefer the new version.

I was considering starting to read Wizard again, but this is seriously dissuading me. I like to put my magazines up on a bookshelf.

I think they did that just for that one issue, but I'll to wait to see next issue to find out for sure.
