Since DC is releasing animated DTVs based on major comic book storylines (Death of Superman, Judas Contract, etc) what major Marvel storyline would you like to see become the basis for an animated DTV?

Sorry I know lil of DC releases but really another Terra saga? I was ok with just one, and as an answer AoA Civil War for starters.

Even though it's happening right now "Civil War" could make for a fun DTV down the line. I think there are alot of big events worth making DTVs out of. I know I'd like to see the original Clone stories from Spider-Man adapted as well as some of the X-Men stuff from the 1980s and 1990s. This could be a great time to get a more precise adaptation of "God Loves Man Kills" done. This would basically be a huge wishlist of Marvel events from the beginning to now that could be done if Marvel ever tried this.

I'd love to see 90 min DTV Marvel animated movies based on these events

Days of future past
Phoenix saga
Secret wars
Infinity Gauntlet
Avengers-Kree/skrull war
Daredevil-Bullseye kills Elektra

The Coming of Galactus and Annihilation. Anything that involves the Silver Surfer, really.

I'm not sure if this counts as a major event but one storyline I would see become a DTV is DD's origin (which could be a combo of DD: Yellow and Man Without Fear) which would feature the death of DD's dad, DD going after the mobsters who killed him, Matt Murdock defending the city's old top crime boss the Owl and having to deal with the city's new crime boss, the Kingpin who has hired his old flame Elektra to kill Owl (also a Purple Man sub plot if there is time left over.)

I don't think that's a major event on par with the usual Marvel big events but I think just about everyone here can agree that we need to see some animated Daredevil action soon!

Secret Wars was done in Spider-Man: TAS but I think it could be done a lot closer to the comic roots. So that and Civil War after it's been completed would be my two choices for such even driven DTVs.

Civil War would be great.

The Other is another recent storyline. Secret War is a classic one that would work. A comics accurate Dark Phoenix Saga with great animation and production values would be awesome.

The Death of Gwen Stacy would be one to consider as well.

How about AoA stuff? I would think that would sell like hot cakes.

I would LOVE to see a DTV adaptation of Iss. #337-340 of 'The Mighty Thor' someday. For those that don't know what storyline that is, it's the famous story by Walt Simonson that introduces Beta Ray Bill for the first time.

But not done ala anime, Bruce Timm/blocky maquette style or Evolution/Ultimate Avengers. Something that really captures Uncle Walt's art style, but is fluid enough to really be captivating and make it seem 'alive'.

Get John Rhys-Davies back to voice Thor -who I felt did a good job in the 'Fantastic Four' episodes he was in- and Karl Pruner -who voiced Beta Ray Bill in the Silver Surfer episode 'Innervisions'. Hey, I liked Bill's voice in that one- for Beta Ray Bill... that would be all kinds of awesome.

I'd like to see Maximum Carnage in animated form. It's still one of my favorite Spider-Man stories of all time.

i'd actually like to see Ultimate Hulk vs Wolverine; from what i've read i thought it was pretty good. Civil War would be great too.

What about Born Again, is that a major event?

They've already done the first three before on television. I don't know about the others. I thought Days of Future Past was an excellent adaptation. Secret Wars could really stand a retelling closer to the original story, though. I'd really like them to make Secret Wars II, also, because of the way it wraps up the whole story.

Your others are great suggestions, too. I wouldn't mind seeing all of them done again, in fact. The whole Daredevil-Elektra saga would make a great series.

I would also like to see the Ragnarok storyline from Thor. I'd also like to see the storyline where Captain America becomes Nomad; perhaps they could mix in The Captain storyline where SuperPatriot takes over as Captain America even though they are actually two completely different arcs.

Mmm yeah I asked sometin in the wrong forum I get it now. Well let me write it again Aoa We need some AoA. And I agree we need some DD series DTV Action film whatever but soon!
Since I never read Kree/Skrull war then I'm curious for a project like that. And more than ever Civil war. But not as a DTV but as a series. I know it's self contained but just imagine all the way from Secret to Civil.

How about the Brood/X-Men story. That could be good epic-type event, and be done with a minimum amout of backstory. (For mass market, who are not intimately familiar with all the comic lore.)

Also;
Death of Gwen Stacy
Days of Our Future's Past (If only to see that cover on the DVD racks)
possibly Giant Sized X-Men 1 (the big roster change)
And possibly the first big Avengers roster change (Cap, Hawkeye, Scarlett and Quickie)

I'd like the Secret Wars, please. We owe it to the comic fans to get something that translates this as well as X-Men TAS did with it's characters right from the books.

I also agree about Silver Surfer. I'm only a casual and vague acquaintance of his, but he should so totally have a fewspotlights shined on him.

if the comic book gods would intervene, I would love to see a rendition of the Justice League/Avengers crossover, done as a mini-series, or perhaps a series of feature-length films... WB/Lion's Gate can co-produce..

The Brood are just a rip off of the creatures from the Alien movies, I would rather the X-Men fight for Mutant rights, then star in some rip off aliens.
