Saturday Night's Main Event saw Mark Henry injured eight days prior to his match with Batista. With The Great American Bash this Sunday, The Animal will need a new opponent. Find out who that will be tonight (GAB prediction thread will be posted after SmackDown!).

This next week I will be home in South Dakota and I doubt I will be on the internet as much. Kippy will be taking care of you from The Great American Bash to ECW and VCXZX will be your caretaker for SmackDown! and HEAT until I return the next weekend.

World Champion Rey Mysterio found retribution on SmackDown’s majesty last week. Rey got his gloves on King Booker not once, but twice in the same night. It was made worse on Saturday, as Mysterio, Batista & Bobby Lashley defeated Booker, Finlay & Mark Henry at Saturday Night's Main Event. After these royal embarrassments, will King Booker and his Court have something in store for the champion just days before heading into the Bash?

During the aforementioned Six-Man Tag Team Match, Mark Henry suffered a knee injury. What will become of his scheduled match with Batista at The Great American Bash? Tune into SmackDown to find out.

Also last week, the world saw the dramatic re-emergence of Undertaker, who appeared in the ring as a “sign” to The Great Khali and Daivari. Undertaker’s message was loud and clear, but Khali sent a message of his own on Saturday Night's Main Event with the help of the ECW Champion, Big Show.

Tuesday night, the Deadman went to ECW to face Big Show for the gold. There, the Deadman was brutally assaulted by The Great Khali. What shape will the Deadman be in heading to The Great American Bash? Will The Great Khali send an even louder message this coming Friday as he heads into Punjabi Prison Match at the Great American Bash?

The next round of competition in the 2006 Diva Search will also take place on SmackDown. This week will be the Diva Dance-Off, as the aspiring Divas compete to become the next of the Sexiest Women on TV.

Also, WWE.com has learned that SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long will open the show by addressing the status of Batista and his opponent for The Great American Bash. Will Batista assume the No. 1 Contendership? Will the General Manager name a new opponent for The Animal?

Tune in Friday at 8/7 CT on UPN to see why SmackDown is television that’s changing Friday nights.

The July 21 edition of Friday Night SmackDown will be preempted in the following areas. Below are times you can watch SmackDown:

Tomorrow I will get to see this show but for now, some breaking news regarding another Smackdown injury that affacts the Bash. from pwinsider:

For reasons I'm not yet clear of but have been told is a medical issue, Bobby Lashley has been pulled from the Great American Bash PPV and will be out of action until further notice.

WWE issued a statement via their text messaging service, announcing Lashley had elevated enzymes of the liver and would be out of action until "further evaluation."

There had been discussion internally among wrestlers the past several weeks that Lashley may be pulled from the road, speculation that began when Finlay won the United States championship at Smackdown several weeks back during a bout that was originally planned to feature a DQ finish according to the show's TV format.

I hate to say it but this could be something related to the wellness Policy. I hope not, but sadly I think so.

Yet another casuality of the Smackdown curse.

Also, its being reported that ECW wrestlers will be at the Bash. i'm guessing Show challenges Batista or something.

Well, Ken Kennedy has been named as Batista's opponent, and now the US title will defintley stay in King Booker's court. The GAB has gone from looking like it'd be one of the better PPV's to being sadly nothingness, especially since they've now added the four-way bra and panties match.

It is official though, as WWE Mobile apparently alerted people first: http://www.wwe.com/inside/news/lashleyout.

Mark Henry’s worst timed of all his injures really screwed up the Bash. Batista wanted nothing but revenge, and now Ken Kennedy is just being fed to him. Here’s hoping the match makes it feel like Mr. Kennedy has a chance.

Kash beating Kendrick was the expected result, it builds questions about whether the Champions will be able to defeat their challengers.

I get that it was done to promote the bra and panties match, but only on WWE can a woman wearing assless pants be upset and try to cover herself when her bra is exposed. :p

Once again, Daivari and the Great Khali are left to hype the Punjabi Prison Match without the other man who will be in the ring (ECW not withstanding). Funny thing about the video was, it could go either way on whether Khali is easier to understand when he’s speaking or with his voice synthesized. :D

Miz is doing backstage interviews now? Where is Josh Mathews?!

“Finlay’s not the only that loves to fight.” Lashley can’t even pull off being a man of few words. You gotta get angry, Bobby!

Finlay vs. Lashley was just a fantastic match. Lots of great action, it wasn’t too slow, it wasn’t too fast and in the aftermath, it featured the best Little Bastard spot to date—the low blow with the shillelagh. That was awesome. :D

Wow, several of the Diva wannabes basically couldn’t dance. Erica was probably the worst and Rebecca further enforced that she is not much above a stripper. Chaps and fishnets, who does that? Leyla and Milena were probably the best and I think I am officially a Maryse supporter now.

Sylvan isn’t going to be helped by the fact that the heel commentator hates him. It makes sense for JBL to dislike the ‘Ambassdor at Large from the great Province of Quebec’ but this way Grenier has no one on his side. I liked his interaction with Matt, Funaki and Tatanka.

Crazy and Psicosis really should have been on the PPV, the two could have put together a great match if given quality time to do it. Even this one was pretty good. Gregory Helms seemed to be ther just for the heck of it and to announce his match. I think Chavo is going to have the honor.

I was surprised to see the GAB main event given to us as the SmackDown! main event. I figured it wouldn’t end clean, but I also didn’t expect to see anyone get a ‘W’. Chavo is back in the picture though and with ‘all King Booker’s men’ now facing off one-on-one, they may not be up for helping their ruler.

In the illustrious words of AJ Styles, Lashley needs to shut up, just shut his mouth. It almost seem like Lashley get mic time because he cuts bad promos. Finlay and Lashley had another great match with LB in the mix.

It's a shame that Jillian can't feud with Melina, Mickie, Trish, or Victoria. I guess she will have to settle for being the female shooter on Smackdown.

Kash versus Kendrick was sloppy but entertaining. The Pitbulls and The Shooting Stars can bring the house down if they are given more than five minutes.

I hope Mr. Kennedy screams his name to the heaven after he beats Batista.

Gregory Helms held his own in booth tonight.

Wow! Another video package for the Punjabi Prison Match.

JBL's hyberbole is getting out of control;:D Rey Mysterio is like herpes because he won't go away capped off an excellent main event.

As they say in the salt commercial, when it rains, it pours.:(

First, Mark Henry is back on the DL (knee), now joined post-show by Bobby Lashley & Great Khali (both with liver probs). Adding ECW to the mix on Sunday isn't going to help matters.

Pit Bulls are following the same blueprint that London & Kendrick used vs. MNM, winning every non-title match to this point, but I'd rather have seen Kendrick go over, since Noble won last week. Expected? NO! The correct booking is Kendrick going over. Period.

Ken Kennedy, please call your service.:p

Spoiler reports posted by inattentive persons claimed that JT won the dance contest when it was actually Milena. Meltzer reviewer Steve Khan screwed up, too, saying it was JT.

Why is Mizizzle doing interviews? The plus side is that he actually did a good job leading Lashley.

Now we know why Lashley lost the US title (liver), but they should've had another face in the pipeline to chase Finlay in an emergency.

Dalip Singh, we hardly knew ye.;) Thanks for coming. (Translated, I don't think Khali will be back).

Nice of them to give away the World title finish for Sunday, isn't it?;)

Women's match should've been better than this. Maybe one day, all of the ladies will be on Raw.

Once again Smackdown had a stellar show, despit a lot of parts that are now considered out-dated.

The tag match was very good. Lots of great action here.

Finley/Lashley was great too. I really liked the Little Bastard making a huge impact. Perhaps he's getting ready for that stepladder match against Tazz at the Bash.

I hope Josh Matthews isn't another casulatiy of the Smackdown Curse. He hasn't interviewed anyone in a while. Lousy Miz for stealing his thunder.

Main event was OK. I don't get the idea of giving away your main event for the PPV the show before. Hopefully this means King Booker wins. All Hail King Booker!

I'm shocked to hear about Lashley. This is utter disaster.

The Pitbulls put on a very good opening match. So did Psicosis and Super Crazy. I fell asleep during Lashley vs. Finlay, but that looks like it's good and I'll see it on tape soon. So basically, this show definitely has the best wrestling going on right now.

Booker vs. Mysterio was odd. I don't know why they did it tonight with a relatively straightforward win. It really does detract from the anticipation for the GAB match, as if there was any.
It's amazing, really -- one of the only times Rey Mysterio gets a significant and good win in recent history and it happens to be at the wrong time. I really hate what they're doing to him. Instead of "the underdog champion" they should call him "the emo champion". That's what it's like. The championship is a gift, Michael Cole talks about him being worn out from wrestling every week (like that's such a big deal), and every time he so much as kicks a pebble on the ground he has to dedicate it to Eddie Guerrero. It's really just hard to believe he's the champion. I guess WWE's heard that "everybody loves an underdog", but they're proving that wrong.

But overall, it was a good show.

It's too bad that Mark Henry got injured. He's not great in the ring, but I think he's performed better than anybody expected him to since his return late last year. Batista versus Mr. Kennedy doesn't sound like a very exciting match. Somebody must be regretting the decision to have Kennedy lose his undefeated status now.

Kid Kash versus Brian Kendrick was an okay match. Maybe there would be a little more intrigue for the tag team match at the Bash if Kendrick had won this match instead. I liked hearing JBL mention a non-WWE title. I've really been enjoying his commentary the past few week.

Well at least the Divas tag match was short.

Lashley and Finlay had yet another good match together. I was amazed that this match went so long without having a commercial break. WWE needs to have more matches like that.

I don't care about the Diva Search so I changed the channel and watched some of Monk.

Wow, those videos from a month or two ago really paid off for Tatanka.

I thought for sure we would see Super Crazy versus Psicosis at the Bash. It's nice to see the Cruiserweight Champion get at least a little attention.

Rey Mysterio's actually been on a bit of a roll lately. It might have been better for Rey to lose this match to King Booker since the winner of this type of match generally loses the pay-per-view match, but that's not always the case. Booker's been great as the King while Rey has been a mediocre champion at best, but I think I'll still be rooting for him at the Bash.

Speaking of JBL's commentary, I loved how he pointed out that the ropes are steel cables. It was a nice little touch that helped me (and any viewers who didn't know that already) to appreciate what was going on in the ring more.
