YES, Jonn Jonzz can lift many tons GL. Why they haven't shown him dispaying his superstrength attributes on JL is beyond me. Any body have an idea why they don't show MM's superstrength let me know. :)

I think Timm said they took his strength down because they didn't want him to be too strong like Diana and Supes.

That makes no sense? So they weakened him to the point where he can't even lift a VW Beetle? Who is gonna complain if they show him to be in Supes & WW strength level? There's gotta be a better reason than that as to why they took away MM's wheatys n made him a 98lb weakling! :mad:

They weakened everybody. But then again, most of the JLAnimated's comic book counterparts are rediculously overpowered.

It does make sense--this is there attempt to make J'onn J'onzz different from Superman. In the comics all he's pretty much a "Martian Superman" because almost all of their powers are the same. In Justice League they toned down his strength, but he still has his shape-shifting, telepathic, levitation, and phasing abilities. He's still pretty powerful.

He flew down onto a Manhunter and smashed it into a car, causing the car to crumple. I think that feat would require superstrength.

My impression was that he just increased the density of his body, making himself ultra-heavy, and then dropped on the guy. It's like the opposite of his phasing ability. He has some super-strength but definitely not as much as Supes or WW.

mabey he does have stregnth. in "in paradise lost" he knocked a giant snake out in one punch.
