"Who Shot J. Jonah?"
Picture it: Spidey unmasked, Peter Parker gets partly recognized and partly chastized, but mostly chastized from his former employer. What's a semi hero to do? Find out who framed him for shooting J. Jonah Jameson.
Yes, you heard me right. JJJ gets shot, and Parker is the prime suspect. Why? Because he allegedly has motive (revenge after years of mistreatment both as Peter Parker and Spider-Man), left traces of webbing (fake, DUH!), and now Parker has to clear his good name(s) and find the real killer. It's part "The Fugitive", part "Dallas", which means...
In the end, it all turns out to be a dream. Parker never gets outed as Spider-Man, he's still on good, if not strained, terms with JJJ, and Civil War never happened.
To any Marvel writer lurking on this board, feel free to use this idea. It's far -fetched, I know, and I'm not asking for any credit. After all, I'm not a real writer. :D
