Want A Legend Of Zelda Anime!

i heard a rumor that they were going to make a legend odf zelda anime. But nothing has popped up. But i hope they make one and a Super Mario one too!

The only animated Zelda series is the crappy one from the 80s that aired during the Super Mario Bros. Super Show. There is no anime, and we probably won't see one anytime soon. Whatever rumor you heard was false.

I think the storyline for it should be an original storyline, taking place in-between some of the games' storylines.

Idea: After "The Adventure of Link", the imbalance in the Triforce caused by Ganon's destruction threatens Hyrule once again, and Link finds himself slowly becoming corrupt. Zelda is faced with a difficult choice: Find another to possess the Triforce of Power, destroy the Triforces altogether, or sacrifice her life and Link's life. Unbeknownst to all involved, the goddess Din is slowly beginning to fade...

If it ever happened, I'd prefer to see some sort of "side quest" along the lines of Link's Awakening or Majora's Mask. Not necessarily anything like them in style, just anything other than the expected Zelda / Ganon / Triforce quest.

I think the exact opposite, a serious attempt would fail to have the magic of the game, without you going through the quest it just won't feel like he went through hazards etc, the story is basically save the princess not much to work with.

If 4Kids either created or dubbed a Zelda anime series, then it would just become another Bratz, which means Princess Zelda is going to become another Paris Hilton wannabe and it'll be alot worse if Zelda falls into the evil clutches of 4Crappy Entertainment. 4Kids and anime are like oil(a.k.a. fat) and water, they just naturally don't mix at all. I wish 4Kids would just lose all their profits and then just go out of business right now as well.

Saban(if he's still active in the entertainment industry), Sunbow, Graz Entertainment, Nelvana or Howling Cat Enterprises can dub the original Legend of Zelda, The Adventure of Link, A Link to the Past and Link's Awakening and then they could probably end up on Jetix quite easily.

Ocarina of Time and the much later Zelda adaptions can be dubbed by children's entertainment entities such as Funimation, Viz, Geneon, Sony, Media Blasters, Tokyopop, DreamWorks or Bandai and then they all could end up on either Nickelodeon, G4 or Cartoon Network.

In order to make and/or dub a future Zelda anime, 4Kids would need permission from Nintendo.

Given how badly the two companies hate each other, I highly, highly doubt that'll happen any time soon.

Ignoring the ever-so-expected 4kids bashing, a Zelda anime would be bad. Then again, so are 99% of video game anime adaptions. The main point in a game is to play it, not to sit and watch it and enjoy the plot (despite what some games with hour-long cutscenes would have you do). So you already are at a disadvantage when you remove the gameplay from a video game. That leaves you with the story, which Zelda's is anything but unique, sorry to say. People play Zelda for the gameplay, and without that, it's just your typical fantasy show.

Keep Zelda as a game, and go watch the Lord of the Rings movies, I say.

4Kids would never get a Zelda anime, or even be able to fund a in-house project. Nintendo and 4Kids are on extremely bad terms, what, with Pokémon USA taking away the license for Pokémon and 4Kids co-funding Viva Pinata with Microsoft.

I think a movie would work, but an anime series really wouldn't. I mean, games like Sonic and Mario would work better as episodic series, while games like Zelda and Kingdom Hearts would work better as movies.

I had a similiar idea: Gannon is defeated, but escapes. Link becomes corrupted and starts conquering Hyrule. Zelda discovers the Triforce (which are tied to her, Link and Gannon) also serve as a seal to a greater evil from before Hyrule was formed. Before it was sealed it set a curse that would always give rise to Gannon's evil. When Gannon dies, is sealed or removed from the world is whatever form its (the big evil) spirit will escape and wreak havoc. It counter this the Goddesses (ones at the beginning of OoT) set in place another being, who'll awaken and reset time. Since Gannon escaped he didn't awaken.
