Some cool stuff. Most noteworthy?

Sega got smart (pun intended), and decided to port THEIR version of Brain Training to the DS.

The DS will be getting a headset for WiFi gaming (I'd assume it works for Mic-enhanced games as well).

Final Fantasy III will be getting it's own DS...

And yet if Nintendo was smart they could've been selling custom Bleach DS consoles instead of giving away a few they made.

Well, it looks like I've found my reason to spend another $130 for a DS Lite.

Considering it's probably Japan-only again, it's gonna be more than $130 you're spending on that.

And for the equivalent of a $5.00 decal sticker no less.

The way I understood/rationalized/thought about it, it was on the inner part of the plastic, below the clear plastic that makes DS Lite whites so shiny and DS Lite blacks so scratchy.

That is absolutely the cutest DS Lite ever. I mean, those chibi-ish FF characters are feckin' adorable. I want one now.

Damn that Nintendo. I already have a DS, now I'm going to have to buy a DS lite.

Too bad it's not a FFVI DS lite. That would be too perfect, though.

I dunno that exclusive FFIII DS doesn't seem to be worth the additional 130 in my opinion

I mean if it were a full body decal that was fully colored and enveloped the whole system then that would be something

but it's just the top of the system and the illustraition itself really isn't anything, I mean the characters themselves arn't even iconic or anything going by how the original 3 portrayed them.

But already in Japan there's a gamut of already existing brain sims(even some that came before BA and such) but since BA popularized it that genre is getting priority, they already have a brain sim that has you raise a baby or something along those lines

allthough the one thing that seems to hamper the majority is that you finish them off really quick, they're really short games and they're already trying to hybrid them with elements of other genres so that the gameplay is extended.

Wait, you... beat these programs? I thought the whole point was to "train your brain", not "beat the 'game'"?

Meh brainage does get repeitive after awhile

Allthough Big Brain Academy has a bit more of variety in terms of games

they both loose the fun factor rather quickly, the excercises become instinctive or mechanical afterawhile and there's really no further progress or challenge especialy in Brain Age's case with the age cap.

I think the Life Sim/Edutainment hybrid of these games has the most potential from what I've read, I mean games like Harvest Moon have alot of replay value due to the constant stream of events.

I'm not asking for a million dollars... I don't need a new car.... all I ask is that we get a release of the black Nintendo DS Lite.

I'm not getting one 'til it drops. :P

I think the Lite will be getting new colors more towards the Holidays

November to December is a heavy DS release scedule, that would be the best time to release recolors or special editions

IIRC the Blue and Red DSs were released around that same time the year prior

I think the idea is just to provide a version of the Lite that may sway some people into buying one who haven't already. The art will be etched into the plastic beneath the DS' clear coating -- it should look really cool. Anyone who buys one and already has a Lite, though, either has too much money or too few IQ points.
