Black Cat MINI-Series

Thankfully the Black Cat series won't be ongoing, but a mini-series. But wait there's more! The Black Cat series will now start out as a mini-series and then be relaunched late rin 2002, or 2003, as a ne wongoing series. It's all here:

It will probably last as long as the Cloak and Dagger series. I am sure we will get some good stories out of it, but I don't see it lasting very long.

is it just me or is black cat a blatent rip off of catwoman? they are both cat burglers and both woman, and both wear cat costumes, and both have somewhat of an interest romantically w/ the hero (although if i remember my spiderman from back in the day, bc wasnt that interested in spidey, just alittle). still, its a rip off. peace.

She is, but she's been around long enough to become one of the accepted rip-offs. She's also been around long enough to distinguish herself from Selina Kyle.

when I used to read the Black Cat stories in Peter Parker, the thought never occured to me that it would be considered a rip off of Catwoman, but I can certainly see how the conclusion would be drawn. I still like Black Cat, but it looks like I am in a minority here! :(

I still like Black Cat. If I hated every rip-off that came along, I'd hate every superhero that ever existed. When you get down to it, all modern day superheroes are rip offs of Superman, Spider-Man or Batman, IMHO.

true, all comic characters are rip offs in some ways, but black cat is alittle too much for me. actually, i always liked felicia/black cat, but part of me always was annoyed that it was such a blatent rip off. i dont want to offend any black cat fans out there, but i think shes too similar to catwoman, the creators could have made her a bit different just to avoid the comparisons.

but like i said, i always liked her, just not that much because of the above reasons....
