Yeah, it's on right now.
And this may be the FINAL time you'll see these episodes (except the ones on DVD, obviously), so don't miss it!
Today: Kirby is still trying to fit in, while King Dedede orders a giant Thwomp block named "Blocky" from NME. Can Kirby save the day? (Small yelling: "Of course you idiot!")
I always enjoyed watching this show, how is the dub in general though? did they do a good job with it or not? I have no Idea what could have been caught, I'm assuming King DeeDee is a lot different in japan though..
missed todays episode since I didn't waked up until 10 ;o

Yeah, they did a pretty good job. Kirby's Japanese voice is kept (except for one line in the first episode, but that was due to him saying Japanese names), the humor of the original is kept. The only major complant is that they changed the main villan of the series, Nightmare (AKA the villan in "Kirby Adventure" for the NES and "Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland" for the GBA), name to eNeME. (Yes, with the capitals on NME) But, that's not until the final three episodes, which are the only ones that never aired on 4Kids TV (but, they did end up as a movie on DVD).

If they're showing reruns from the show's early days then I think we count out ever seeing the Throw Kirby episode dubbed. But nonetheless, I think bringing Kirby back was good idea since Metaknight's a newcomer in Smash Bros. Brawl and what better way to hype that up than a TV Show? (Even though this is likely only for this summer and Brawl is scheduled for release next year....)
And I forgot just how much deeper and gruffer Dedede's accent was in these earlier episodes.:D

Ahh, yes. How I missed this show. They really should show the finalie (I got it on DVD, it's awesome).
As for this episode, I've always thought it was pretty cool. It's true, Dedede's voice in the beggining was alot more gruffier than in the later episodes, where he is more loud.
Also, this is the episode where we learn that Kirby can't suck up things that are way too big for him (and they run into that problem alot).
Though, granted... I never did like Stone Kirby that much. Sword Kirby was much more interesting... Though it looks like 4Kids is skipping the Bugsy and Krako episodes, where he first appears. Oh, well. I hope they show the Wolfwrath episode. That was one of the best.
Anyways, good to see this show again. Even if it is only for the summer.

Sword Kirby was much more interesting...
Now Kirby has saved the day!
Put eNeME in his grave!
So now Cappy Town is free,
And now our hero shall be,
Kirby! I think your name shall go down into history!
I couldn't resist.

Great. Thanks for reminding me of that song. Now it's gonna be in my head aaaaaaaaall day.
Oh, well. I hope they show the Wolfwrath episode. That was one of the best.
They better. Like I said, this is a great way to hype up Metaknight in Brawl and the thing that makes the Wolfwrath episode so great (other than Sword Kirby w/ Galaxia AKA Galaxia Kirby) is that focuses more on Metaknight and his two sidekicks.

I can't find it for rent or sale anywhere. Maybe they could air it as three episodes (as it was in Japan) as the finale to summer Kirby!

That's most likely how it'll be shown. From what it sounds, they dubbed the "movie" as seperate episodes, but merged them together as a movie soon after.

Besides knowing where the two Air Ride episodes ended, I have no clue where the other three episodes end sepretely. The movie fuses them together almost perfectly.
But it is an awesome finalie. Lots of explosions, and sci-fi stuff! And the animation is top notch.
I mean... Comparing the animation from the first episode to the last episode and you'll see quite a diffrence.

Yeah, it's the episode where they met Whispy Woods.
Also, it's the first episode where they mention that Kirby's stomach is it's own diffrent dimension.
Anyways, it was a cute episode.

Yeah that's basically it. It's also the first we see of Dedede trying to make the forest a country club.
Oh and before I forget, it's also the first appearance of the lightsaber chainsaw edit. Mind you, I'm not all big on lightsaber edits but I think Dedede toting a real live chainsaw is just creepy looking. And really, who WOULDN'T want to buy a lightsaber chainsaw? It has a much larger width, perfect for slicing Jedis down the middle, no? (Dedede sure put it to use on all of those trees, didn't he?)
the whispy woods was a little dissaponting, not that it was too bad though. This is such a fun show I really enjoyt it :D glad to see it back.

Ah, Kirby, my favorite video game character. :anime:
Nice to see the show agian. The Whispy Wood episode is somewhat funny since it takes a riff on pointless land development. I thought that was hillarious.
Another nice thing, the characters actually wonder where all the stuff Kirby eats go. My Theory: He's a Dark Star surrounded in squishly pinkness. But anyways, the epsiode is nice, but not amazing. 3 out of 5.

Ha ha. Funny ep. This is the debut of Dedede's "Channel D.D.D"... And to look at it, he was much more ridiculous in it for the first episodes (in the later episodes, he usually just used the channel to trick the Cappies with his schemes some way or another).

You know, it may be silly of me to realize this now, but they seem to be showing the episodes in order (and skipping episodes 2 and 3).
You know, episode 3 would've been GREAT Meta Knight pimping for Brawl.

Yes--the original D.D.D. episode re-aired today!
Now I have it on DVD-R. Or should I say DDD-R? No, actually, I shouldn't.
In case anyone cares, 4Kids.tv has three of the best episodes of Kirby up for veiwing. (although the summer run won't get to any of them...)
They're
The cartoon-making episode, the Ninja Kirby episode, and the imfamous Metaknight episode
So if you missed them back when this show was still in rotation, they're there. (but for how long?...)

I wish there was a way to save the cartoon-making one; that was the best episode.

There's two Kirby episodes this morning, guys. One at 8:30pm and one at 10:30 pm.
The 1st one will be the first Dynablade episode.
The second one is the Kirby derby episode Pt.1.
Don't miss 'em!
Gatomon41

The Dynablade episode is cute. It's like Kirby's really bad day due to a series of really bad minsunderstandings. :p Plot was mostly coherent and even funny in a slapstick sort of way.
I only caught, the second one, it was fairly entertaining, i'm not sure it warranted a two-parter, hopefully kirby's starship actually does something later.

So I take it that means Mew Mew got kicked off again? Or did they push it back to 8:00? I overslept this morning so I have no clue.

If you go to www.4kids.tv and click on their schedule, it shows the Mew Mew's picture at 8:30am (not pm), but it says below it that Kirby is airing at that time.

Oops. I meant "AM". Sorry.
But, yeah. There were two episodes today.
The first one was when Kirby meets Dynablade. And it's chick. It was cute.

The Second Kirby episode was fair entertainment. Though, does anyone want Kirby driving a car, less a spaceship. I mean, he's not exactly the type to pay attention all the time. :p

There was an ad after Kirby with all the residents of Cappy Town (along with Dedede and Escargoon) looking up at a dark sky, with the announcer saying something to the effect of:
"The war is about to start..."
There may have also been some evil laughing in the background.
Kirby should not be allowed to be so cute, it's embarrasing I feel like a 7 year old girl :yawn::yawn:

Ahh... The Fofa episode. I'm surprised the duo got a backstory seeing as they're like non-exisistant in the later episodes. :p
But a good episode nonetheless. I believe this is the first time we see Cutter Kirby.
The 2nd episode is part 1 of the two-part astroid episode. Dedede's such a trip. :D

Actually technically it was. This was originally episode 13 in the Japanese version. 4Kids just moved it to Episode 29 so it would air closer to New Years during it's original air date.
This episode's great simply for the joke when they're making fireworks:
"Don't you know an open flame would blow us all to smithereens?" and then Kirby walks in looking all cute with his sparkler and the place blows up.
