Negima and Moon Phase now on Demand!

Yep, to my surprise I turned to the Anime Selects on Comcast on Demand and to my amazement I found both Moonphase eps 1+2 and Negima eps 1+2 dubbed in english and available to watch, what a nice early treat ;)

Watched the first eps of Moonphase and Negima. I thought the voices in both for the dub were actually pretty good.

I think Hazuki's voice in Moonphase in Monica Rial, not 100% sure, but it sounded like her I think. I don't know who was doing Kohei's voice, but I thought they had a really good back and forth between them. I'm really looking forward to the DVD release because some of the animation that wasn't completed in time for the Japanese TV broadcast I believe has been finished for the DVD release so some of the scenes where you just got mostly static frames should be animated now.

Negima was a trainwreck, but the voices sound really solid. It's weird that Negi is British, but it threw me for a minute hearing a british accent... haha

Loved Ayaka and Asuna's voices and their banter back and forth was great. Just wish the anime turned out better, hopefully the upcoming re-do of Negima turns out good and then Funi can get it and use the same VA's.

Not related to FUNi. but ADV recently put up KonoMini on On Demand as well.
Looks like it's being done by that crap dub group that did Saiyuki (With the bad VA work except for a few characters, and everyone uses as much profanity as they can fit into the script)

Worst of all, they edited all the nipples.

So basically they cut out everything good about the show, and added in crap that wasn't necessary.
And that doesn't help the fact the show sucked when it was airing as well, what with the Devilman reject as a main character.

Back to Negima: I saw episode 1 at Katsucon in February, and one thing was definitely for sure: Greg Ayres definitely brought some kawaiiness into Negi with the mousy, British voice that he used. :anime:

I was impressed with it. Really impressive dub. Negima on the other hand-who wrote that script?
I think I will buy the tsukuyomi moon phase dub now

They're censoring it because they don't want to lose the sponsors for their On-Demand.

However, if they are censoring, I wish they would be consistent with it. I watched the first episode of This Ugly Yet Beautiful World, and ADV had the huge black censor bars. However, in some shots, it wasn't there and you could see everything. WS they are not.
