My comments:
Given the success of the direct-to-video specials, I was wondering if/when/why couldn't they make a new Sat. morning series with Scooby & Co. (instead of relying solely on the reruns of the various series for Scooby fans). Now, looks as if WB's seen fit to do so. Hopefully, it'll have the same writers/etc. that the D2V movies had...
Also from the article's tone, I get the impression that KWB *might* be considering easing back on its current Poke-/anime- emphasis to (gasp!) something with actual *humor* (even if Scooby's schtick is "mysteries")... maybe KWB is recognizing that Pokemon's popularity's peaked? Or (worst case scenario) it's only because of the movie they're making, and thus view making a new "Scooby" series in the same way a "Mummy" animated series was made to cash in on the "Mummy" movies (and we'll be seeing promos with Scooby cavorting with Pikachu/whatever dog-like Poke-critters they have....[DISCLAIMER: Not responsible if said projection actually comes to pass. Do not fold, spindle or mutilate. KWB humor renaissance may occur before or after September 23, 2015.])? Either way, this news seems to offer a faint glimmer of hope (I know, Scooby's overexposed enough as it is, but I guess I'd rather put up with overexposure of something I at least vaguely liked in the first place, vs. Pokemon/"Toonami" anime stuff...).

KWB has Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon is still the #1 show, and its ratings have increased 125%.

Y'know, a sign of how dismal KWB has been lately is the fact that news of a new Scooby series actually has me interested. I've never been a fan of his numerous series... I like the character, but the show he was shoehorned in was lackluster. Still, as Brainatra said, the D2Vs have been pretty darn good, so if they follow in that tradition (and it looks like they'll have the animation budget to do so), we might have something entertaining on our hands.
And it's interesting to see that the Osmosis Jones show is still going ahead, even though the movie bombed. I just hope they focus on animation (which the movie did well) rather than live-action (which the movie flubbed, badly).

The show's called Ollie & Drixx it's in the newspage, so it most likely will/ I'm not surprised, though, they've changed the name from the orrigin Osmosi Jones: The Series title. Looks like they didn't want to waste the money spent and just renamed the series. And I can honestly say I'm interested in this new Scooby series, too. With $400,000 per episode, that could be a nice sum to get TMS to animated the show. They do the movies so it'd be nice to see them do the show, too. It'd be the bets looking KWB.
Could the fall 2002 - 2003 series be the rebound year? With a new Scooby series (with Kasey Casem as Shaggy!!), the Osmosis Jones series, and (very likely) the new MIB animated series, KWB may be havin gone heckuva new season. Plus you can bet The Mummy, Jackie Chan, X-Men, and Static will be back so this could actually be their best season in quite a while.

I, too Hatter am interested. In fact, I want to see the show. I mean, WBA is starting to make shows for KWB again...like the good old times?

Well, I for one am having trouble with the concept of Sc**by-D** on KWB, much less the possible flagship franchise whatever. But I pride myself on keeping an open mind, so I might give it a chance. Animation by TMS is definitely a point in its favor. I just dunno if it's progress for KWB to go from Poke-saturation to Scooby-saturation while CN goes from Scooby-saturation to Dragonball saturation. But who knows.

Hey, if it will cleanse the airwavesof the action garbage they run now, I'll watch. From the looks of the schedule I've seen, they are beginning with reruns of the original "Scooby Doo Where Are You". Fine, but they don't include any of Scooby Doo's other series, and there were a lot, I think. That early series, as well as the movies featuring then-popular celebrities, is probably Scooby's best. I really don't hate Scooby Doo, but I hate when Cartoon Network gives it preference over classic Looney Tunes. Hey! Here's a novel idea....bring back LOONEY TUNES! They are a WARNER BROTHERS channel. just think, Bugs Bunny back on network TV....uncut, perhaps...with Speedy Gonzales included, and lots of Road Runner.....

Drool Drool Drool....and maybe the "This Is It" opening?
Why don't they hunt down the possible color negatives to the old "Bugs Bunny Show" that might be in Europe, and just rebroadcast that as a "new" series? The show hasn't been seen by anyone in so long that it's new again. Maybe even throw in a digitally restored "Adventures Of the Roadrunner" as a "special" episode (there was a small missing section in the complete version I've seen. When Ralph and his friend are returning to the TV. A little bit of new animation might be needed to fix it). They'd definately have enough for four or so seasons, and they could just make "new" episodes of it (i.e. more generic compilation shows with the hundreds of old bridges made for shows like "The Roadrunner Show," "The Porky Pig Show" and "Bugs Bunny and Tweety.") These would be the shows that run the cartoon with thier original openings, hopefully unedited (but I doubt it). So, you'd get whole half hours of pure classic animation, from the bumpers, to the cartoons themselves...
Anyone else like this idea?
Jack :D
P.S. As much as I am tired of Scooby, I see adding him to Kid's WB as an improvement. I haven't cared for the network in years...

They should also go back to Tiny-Toons/Animaniacs style animation. They were cool in the 90's until pokemania struck.

I'd rathar have Scooby Doo on KWB then have Pokemon on there. I woul slove to see WBA take a trip back in time a few years and see what they were doing then. That was the height of WBA, and KWB, and it would be great to see them reclaim it. Doubtful, though.
