View Full Version : CC-Sama has returned!
I'd like to welcome CC-Sama to the modding team over here. Having been a previous co-admin at CNX, it only made sense that he'd be offered a position on this board. Please treat him with respect. Thank you.

So it looks like Albright stepped down. Hmm.
I said it before and I'll say it again. *in his best Rattrap voice* That's it. We're all, gonna die. :p Now if you'll excuse me, I'm just going to go sit in the corner and wait for the delusional speeches of grander to begin. ;)

Stepped down from what? I was never a mod here, nor were the duties (heh... almost said "honors," but I know better than that now) ever offered to me.

Well I kind of assumed you were a mod on this board, given that your name was listed under the TZ Toonami board mods. Live and learn... I guess.

Actually he wasn't. Albright's been working his butt off on the other boards, as is. I think he's got his hands full already.

CC, I have a question. It just hit me. Is your avatar an Auron gif?

Yes, it is. Auron was my favorite character after my little jaunt through Spira.

I have a newfound respect for you. Auron is one of the coolest FF characters ever. (Even if he is suspiciously similar to Vash)

*Laughs* I can see the similarities. They both have a red trench coat, they wear a black outfit underneath, and they both wear sunglasses. Only difference is, Auron has that whole Dirty Harry meets Samurai thing going for him.

The way he holds his gun, the sun glasses, the haircut, He's like Vash meets Ash meets Solid Snake. Course, there is that whole thing about
being Dead.

*Laughs* So true... So true... Of course you could tell that the moment everyone exited the Farplane in Guadosalam

Or when Rin starts asking him about how he's doing. It's obvious that it's a touchy subject. At least it's not as Obvious as Yuna's fate. That was almost given 30 minutes into the game. Course, both these aspects are still incredibly well played out and Makes FFX the best FF ever. (Followed very closely by 7 and 6)

Get a load of this. Final Fantasy X International has an extra 2-3 hours of gameplay in a continuation of the main-story's adventures. FFX Another Story: The Forever Nagi Festival which takes place 3 years after the main game.

Boy, that new Grandia game for the PS2 is looking really nifty, ain't it?
I just beat the first one today. (I beat Grandia II for the Dreamcast last month.) It was a blast; I'm gonna miss it. Most definitely the best RPG series I've had the pleasure of playing.
So, um... what are you guys talking about?
Zorakfan
01-22-2002, 05:58 PM
We're talking bout Dragons.
Grandia is also and incredibly well done RPG, but I don't think it can compare to FFX. Can't wait to play Grandia 2.

CC you've already beaten FFX??? NYAT FAIR!!
No I'm just kidding. I'm almost to the ending but now I have to get through the side quests so it'll be a while :(
As for the FFX sidequest game, I have only four words on that matter.
I MUST HAVE IT!!! :D
Zorakfan
01-22-2002, 06:57 PM
That's 4 words, but who needs counting when you've got the 1MP ability?
Ah, you changed it to be correct. I'm leaving this here, because I can. Blame Kellner if you have any problems with this.

Yeah, I know what you folks were talking about. I just happen to be one of the people who find the whole Final Fantasyy franchise to be seriously overrated. I mean, I tried making my way through FFVII, I really did, but somewhere around the stupid Chocobo racing to escape from jail or whatever, I just... kinda... didn't care anymore.
And then I found Grandia II, the greatest RPG I've played (although I haven't played four dozen of 'em like some folks), and I was kicking myself because the time I wasted playing FFVII, I could have spent playing that Godsend of a game instead.

Yep, yep. Pretty graphics = more fun. I can see where you might not think FF is up to the hype. (I have a hard time believing it myself after 8, that horrible, horrible, bastardchild) But FF7 Really picks up in Disc 2. (The prison break is in disc 1, if memory serves, which it probably does not) But, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and my opinion is that FF6, 7, and 10 are among the best games I've ever played in my career as a hardcore gamer. (If you could call someone like me hardcore) Serious gamer. That's better.

The prison break did happen in disc one. I should know for having beat that game about 10 times :D
>>He's probably waiting for the PS2 version.
From what I heard, the translation of the Grandia 2 game over to the PS2 kinda sucked since it lost a lot of its graphical wonderness and the controls are a little stiff. This was some reviewer's response from Gamepro though so maybe he's being critical :\

Same thing form EGM's review. The original still rocks the house, though.

Don't feel bad, Albright. I gave up on finishing VII years ago. 8, 9, and the best game in the series to date... 10 were far more enjoyable. :)
