We got the rest of 1946 today:

"The Big Snooze"
"Fair and Worm-er"
"The Mouse-merized Cat" - edited
"Mouse Menace"
"Rhapsody Rabbit" - no WB opening titles
"Roughly Squeaking"

I hope this chronological thing keeps up. But I know that I won't get the cartoons that are on almost everyone's "WB Cartoons I Need" list ("Africa Squeaks", "Skyscraper Caper", "The Door", etc.).

I don't think "Skyscraper Caper" is any rarer than most other Speedy cartoons.

Why does "Rhapsody Rabbit" have no WB opening titles? I guess it could be from a bad video.

Well, I do have "Skyscraper Caper" on video, but it's edited. It seems no one has the original with Speedy trying to save Daffy from falling off of the construction site with a noose (almost hanging Daffy).

Depends on what you mean by "bad."

"Rhapsody Rabbit" is one of the last titles Cartoon Network still uses that were originally done for the MGM/UA series of Vidde-Oh! tapes that were released in 1987. Among the pre-1948 Bugs Bunnies in the series, several other cartoons, including "Super Rabbit," "Wabbit Twouble" and "The Big Snooze" also had their opening titles removed, while a few others, like "Hold the Lion, Please" and "Slick Hare" had their opening titles replaced with a Blue Ribbon title card with a 1940 copyright date and with the opening theme music from the 1939-40 season.

The results looked and sounded awful, and even with the improper end title cards, the dubbed versions that came out in 1995 are a vast improvement over those cartoons.

My copy of "Rhapsody Rabbit" is on my copy of "Bugs Bunny: Superstar" and it has full opening/closing titles. It was also released with full opening/closing titles on the "Golden Age of Looney Tunes" laserdisc - volume #4.

It's funny...I had Rhapsody Rabbit on last night and my sister walked in the room and was like, "Oh, Tom and....huh?"
