Director David Chlystek was able to provide Toon Zone with 5 very clear images from the upcomign episode. There may be some good avatar shots for you, Bird_Boy. Here they are:

EDIT: While making that Robin/Flipping pic into an avatar..i noticed....Batman's behind robin! Interesting.... :)

I'll see if I can get more, but I really like that Robin shot of him flipping away from the Bang Baby. And how about that AWESOME picture of the Joker? Wow!

What makes you think he would look any different??

Robin's design was actually tweaked a bit. His head is shrunk a bit and he's "aged" a bit more. He'll be a bit talle rin this episode to show that he's growing. I think it's cool, personally, so show this.

So Dick, basicly what your saying is he's gonna look like a normal 13 year-old, instead of "big-head Robin" or "Bugboy" like Bruce Timm and Paul Dini like to call him.

I meen, i personally thought Tim Drake looked to young for a 13 year-old in TNBA. He looked more like a 10 year-old in TNBA.
What i personally find strange is that Robin still looks like a 13 year-old oin BB: ROTJ when he's infact closer to 16 in the flashback scene.
So, now in this Static shock EP, in the same timeframe as TNBA he looks slightly older then in he's going to in 3 years when the BB flashbacks take place...
OK, i'm nitpickin' here, Sorry. I guess this is what Paul Dini and Bruce Timm meant when they said that they weren't going to pay attention to overwriting the Batman Beyond storyline with the "present day Batman" stories.

I'm sure someone has already answered this but, when is the episode airing? So I can set my VCR...

Hey Cassie, at least you can watch it if U know when :)
I live in Freakin' Holland! i had to wait 2 years before TNBA showed up and another 2 years for the second season!
Bye! :p

He's gonna look more his age, and his voice will sounds bit different, too. They had to change voice actors for the character becuase his current one was getting too old to voice him. Listen to Robin's breif lines in ROTJ - you'll see what I mean. And I thought he looked a bit too young, too, in TNBA. This has fixed that. :)

This is slightly off topic, but it has been bothering me ever since I heard the announcement about Robin's voice change.

If Tim has gotten older, couldn't Matthew have continued to do his voice?

James Harvey

I hear dit weas becuase Mathew got too older. Tim is only supposed to be 13 - 14 in the cartoon, and Mathew Valencia is just getting too old to voice the character. He's almost 19! It's possible he's stepped down, but I've been told that he just can't make the same "high" Robin voice. That's why they brought in 15 year old Eli Marienthal - whi's been doing voices in WBA shows for quite awhile now. Mathew was 15 or 16 when he last voiced Robin, so it's understandable why he can't now.

Yeah, i've noticed that in ROTJ! I was watching the directors comment, and Bruce Timm explained that the Tim's insane gigle was done by a girl cause Matthew couln't do it.

It was voice directer Andrea Romano who did did Robin's insane cackle, and did a haunting job on it. Mathew Valencia did a great job, and it sucks to see him step down. But Eli Mareinthal is a great voice actor - so I'm not worried about this one bit.

And if you're curious as to what he looks like, he plays Stifler's brother in the AMERICAN PIE movies and was MAGNOLIA FAN in Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back. He also voiced "Dack" in Batman Beyond.

Well, all i can say is i'm glad Tara Strong is out of her teen years, so they won't have to re-cast the 23 year-old Barbara Gordon for the next ten years! He he!

Cool! Now I'm gonna picture Stifler's brother when I think of Robin. :D

Well, this episode interests me, but I'm not expecting poetry here. At first glace, I thought the art was done by someone on the boards as a sort of trick, but if that's the final animation...well...I am a little disappointed. I don't think Bats has any place on Static Shock, especially as a ratings ploy, but whateva! I'll watch it anyways!

I'm not too fonmd of the idea, either, but the crew behind the STATIC show are big time Batman fans and are doing what they can to make it work. I am definatly gonna give this a shot - no doubt about it!

I'll see what I can do about getting more Joker images from the ep, too. Let's see what I can scare up...

Ah, groovy. I knew we could get better-looking pictures.

True, the producers are fans, and they've said that this episode will be darker than usual to accomodate Bats, so it could be excellent after all! And, like I've said... at least they brought Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamil back.
