Nintendo Power

Hey, does anyone remember an old cartoon, about various Nintendo characters, all assembled as a nice little superhero team?
There was a kid, who's weapons were the Nintendo Power Glove, the Nintendo Gun...y'know.
Megaman was in it, and I forget who else..(Metroid-Samus?)

So, does anyone remember this?

Yknow,everyone says Samus was in it,and she WAS in the captain N comic I found at a junk store,but despite seeing dozens and dozens of episodes of that show I don`t remember samus in it at all.I swear she never was...

Link was too, i think, and a princess...toadtool, or zelda, or di, somethin like that. And the kid wore a belt with a nintendo controller on it, and he could press 'start' to pause time or somethin. Oh, God, why did I remember this?

Main characters were:
Captain N
Kid Icarus
Mega Man
Simon Belmont (of Castlevania)
Some princess (named Lana I think?)
I think maybe Captain N's dog too...

Villains were
Mother Brain (from Metroid)
King Hippo (from Punch-Out)
Eggplant Wizard (from Kid Icarus)
And sometimes Dr. Wily (from Mega Man)

There were also some guest stars in each episode, at least one had Link. It was bad, but it was in the 80s and about Nintendo so everyone watched it.

It was big...and it was black..when it's generally assumed he has dirty blond hair.

I didn't watch Captain N....but Super Mario Brothers was a show I always tried to catch! =D

The legend of Zelda Cartoon. Oh, my, triforce. This was horrible. The whole show consisted of a very bad voice acted ganon shaking his fists and Link alwas trying to see what Zelda's tonsils must taste like.

i remember that show, i didnt like what they did to simon belmont (since he was in my favorite game) when they made him into a stupid jerk. also i remember the kid had a dog that looked like johnny quest's dog, bandit

i remember those days quite well. i hated that show!! it wasn't bad. it just got in the way of mario on thursdays!

That's Right!!! Forgot all about that! It was a big slap in my face to have Simon, the guy that I was so dedicated to in conquering Transylvania, to act as some pig-headed buffoon. :mad:

Wow, I remember that show. Vaguely, though, as I was only four or so when I watched it. The only thing I remember about it is "Excuuuuuuuuuse me, princess!" >shrugs< I liked it, but again, I was only four.

And the new Gamecube Zelda looks positively vile.

Oh, does anyone remember a cartoon that dealt with anything involving Tetris? Or is this "Nintendo Power"? >shakes head< It sucks to have a bad memory. It sucks even more to have been four or five when I watched it.

Wouldn't it be cool if they made one today, though? (It wouldn't hurt if it was decent, too. :D)

I actually remember this show. This show was crap though. Super Mario Bros was a better show. BTW, Zelda came on Fridays, not Thursdays.

I remember that stuff very vaguely. You're right, but I can't remember a whole lot of detail about those.

I always liked the Zelda cartoon when I was a kid, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was a little bit below my current standards. :rolleyes: I also liked Toad from Mario Bros. because of his weird voice and the way he often squeaked when he jumped around.

Around here (the cracker town of Waterford, Michigan) they'd show the cartoon with Bigfoot and the Basketball guy with the BattleToads (anyone remember Battletoads?) cartoon every year on Thanksgiving. Zorakfan & The Polisher can back me up on this.

Oh yeah, I remember Battletoads. I loved that series, and the cartoon wasn't bad. I think they just made one episode of that, though... kind of like Defenders of Dynatron City. I was hoping that one would get picked up.
