Here's what I'm interested in from DC this month:

ALL STAR SUPERMAN #6 - Great cover (http://images.comicbookresources.com/solicits/dccomics/200609/batman_superman/AllStarSupermanCv6.jpg). I've been enjoying Morrison's run on this title so far, so I'm sure this issue will be good.

AMERICAN VIRGIN #7

BATMAN #657 - Two words: Batman's. Son. I can't remember the last time I was this giddy about a Batman title, much less the core book! Thank you Grant Morrison!

BATMAN AND THE MAD MONK #2

BATMAN: JOURNEY INTO KNIGHT #12

THE CREEPER #2 (OF 6) - I was sort of unsure about whether or not to pick up this title, but the energy and style seen in the preview of issue #1 (http://www.dccomics.com/comics/?cm=5744) hooked me. I'm committed to the full mini-series now.

DEADMAN #2 - I keep getting burned by Bruce Jones and his spectaular failures at following through on great ideas. And yet I keep buying his stuff. I have an illness.

DETECTIVE COMICS #823 - I'm not as excited about Dini's run as I am about Morrison's, but Dini's always been a solid writer, so I expect good things.

EX MACHINA #24

FABLES #53

FABLES: 1001 NIGHTS OF SNOWFALL HARDCOVER - Charles Vess, Brian Bolland, Michael Wm. Kaluta, and Jill Thompson? Nice. I'd probably pick this one up for the art alone - the fact that it's more Fables goodness written by Willingham is just a bonus.

HELLBLAZER #224 - Dangit. They had to go and use that title ("Red Right Hand") for a storyline. Now I can't get that Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds song out of my head. And now I'm going to hear it everytime I pick up Hellblazer.

JACK OF FABLES #3

JONAH HEX #11

THE LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN: THE BLACK DOSSIER HC - New LoEG?!?! Yee-haw! Very excited to see this. The mention of a "Tijuana Bible insert and a 3-D section complete with custom glasses" makes me a little nervous, but it should prove to be interesting.

LOVELESS #11

MARTIAN MANHUNTER #2

NINJA SCROLL #1 - ??? I had no idea there was going to be a Ninja Scroll comic. I might have to check this one out.

Y: THE LAST MAN #49 "...as the fifth and final year of Y: The Last Man begins!" Wow. That's a rather sobering line. I knew it was going to end, but I didn't realize it was coming up so quick.

Will buy:
All Star Superman #6
Krypto the Superdog #1 (of 6)

Think about buying:
Superman #656
Action Comics #843
Detective Comics #823

A Krypto miniseries sounds pretty cool; wonder if it'll wind up as an ongoing comic...

I'll be grabbing:

-Batman #657
-Nightwing #124 (unless it starts improving. I'd hate to cancel my once favorite comic)
-Robin #154
-All Star Superman #6 (LOVE that cover)
-Superman #656
-Superman/Batman #30
-Green Lantern #14
-Ion #6
-52 Weeks 18-21
-Justice League of America #2
-Teen Titans #39
-Trials of Shazam #2

I really need to go over my list. That's a pretty good amount. Although 3 are limited series.

Howdy,

Finally got to sweep through these:

- I'm not quite sure if I think the cover to Batman and the Mad Monk #2 (http://www.comicbookresources.com/news/preview.php?image=solicits/dccomics/200609/batman_superman/BatmanTheMadMonkCv2.jpg) is minimalist elegance or just disappointing. Probably a little bit of both.

- Terrific covers to Nightwing #124 (http://www.comicbookresources.com/news/preview.php?image=solicits/dccomics/200609/batman_superman/NightwingCv124.jpg) and Robin #154 (http://www.comicbookresources.com/news/preview.php?image=solicits/dccomics/200609/batman_superman/RobinCv154.jpg), though. I really like the Robin cover.

- I'm very, very tempted by that Absolute New Frontier edition. Giant-size Darwyn Cooke with extras is always a Good Thing. I just don't know that it's $75 worth of Good Thing, even with pre-order discounts.

- Classy cover to Birds of Prey #98 (http://www.comicbookresources.com/news/preview.php?image=solicits/dccomics/200609/dcu/BirdsOfPreyCv98.jpg). Gee, I wonder who that mysterious female caped crusader could possibly be :p. I'm more interested in the new TPB, though.

- I have no idea if the image shown (http://www.comicbookresources.com/news/preview.php?image=solicits/dccomics/200609/dcu/52-Cv18.jpg) is a cover for any of that month's issues of 52, but it's wicked cool.

- Showcase Presents The Phantom Stranger, eh? I just might pre-order that.

- I'm pretty sure I said it at the time, but something about the pose on the new Supergirl and the LoSH TPB cover (http://www.comicbookresources.com/news/preview.php?image=solicits/dccomics/200609/dcu/SupergirlOSH_TP.jpg) makes Supergirl look like a spandex-clad streetwalker.

- Hellaciously cool cover to Justice League Unlimited #25 (http://www.comicbookresources.com/news/preview.php?image=solicits/dccomics/200609/jdc/JusticeLeagueUnlimitedCv25.jpg). That's our Ty Templeton!

- Snakes on a Plane? You know, because of all the hype surrounding this film, I'm fairly convinced that it's nowhere near as cool as people think it will be and is going to sink like a stone once it's released. If DC is lucky, the bloom won't be off that rose until after pre-orders for this book are in, though.

- The American Way concludes with #8. I think it got off to a slow start, but it's building up quite nicely. Looking forward to this.

- Dustin Ngyuen channels his inner James Jean for Manifest Eternity #4's cover (http://www.comicbookresources.com/news/preview.php?image=solicits/dccomics/200609/cmx_vert_ws/ManifestEternityCv4.jpg), and does quite a credible job of it.

- The cover to Skye Runner #5 (http://www.comicbookresources.com/news/preview.php?image=solicits/dccomics/200609/cmx_vert_ws/SkyeRunnerCv5.jpg) just makes me laugh and laugh and laugh. Skye's outfit is bad enough, butthe outfit that the brunette with wings is wearing is so ridiculously stupid it's funny. And "how does she keep it on?" ranks right up there with, "Why would you wear a chain-mail bikini in the middle of winter (http://www.icv2.com/articles/home/8766.html)?"

- What Clayface said about new League of Extraordinary Gentlemen material.

- Cool, a Fables hardcover collection with some serious horsepower in the artists. I think they could have just included any 3 of the first 5 listed and I'd be on-board for it.

- I think I've decided to pre-order the American Virgin TPB. If nothing else, the cover image and the title can send all the wrong messages to people if I decide to sell it on eBay.

- Sweet cover to 100 Bullets #76 (http://www.comicbookresources.com/news/preview.php?image=solicits/dccomics/200609/cmx_vert_ws/100BulletsCv76.jpg).

- Y the Last Man starts its 5th and final year with issue #49. >snif<
