Maybe N'Sync Won't be Cut After All...

REEL DEALS Maybe 'N Sync won't be in the next ''Star Wars'' film after all. Joey Fatone told a Tampa radio station this week that he and his bandmates had shot a cameo as doomed Jedi extras in this summer's ''Episode II -- Attack of the Clones,'' but that fan outcry sent their scene to the cutting-room floor. ''I'm going to make it officially known that they dropped it because people made a big deal about it,'' Fatone told WFLZ-FM. ''We're not going to be in it, and I'm not going to comment on it any more.''

However, a Lucasfilm spokeswoman insists that director George Lucas is impervious to fan criticism (after all, Jar Jar Binks will return in ''Clones,'') and that he has yet to make any decision on the 'N Sync scene. ''The 'N Sync guys were shot as extras, and whether they're in or out won't be determined until the final edit,'' she said...

There was a guy called Adrian Dunbar who shot scenes as Bail Organa, even showed up in a sticker book I got ahold of weeks before Ep1 merchandise was supposed to put out. Anyway, his scenes(mainly seconding Amidala's vote of no confidence- smart man :rolleyes:) got cut out.... And the role was recast for Episode 2- Jimmy Smits, no less.

So there's hope! I mean, when the response ranges from "NOOOOOO!!!!!" to "At least we can watch 'em die!".... I think that speaks volumes. N Sync has more than enough money, but not a whole lot of ppl out there have respect for 'em.

Not a whole lot of people will have respect for Lucas if he puts them in there. Oh wait...to late.

I've said this a billion other times before:

Lucas ISN'T responsible. it's the producer, McCallum who put them in there. Honestly guys, they are friggin' extras! It's not that big of a deal!!!!! It's not like they have a song and dance number....they DIE within the 2 seconds they are in there!

think about it. we wouldn't even have known they were in there...had nobody said anything.

Lucas may not have invited them personally to be extras, but he now has final say if that footage gets in the movie or not, so in the end, he is responsible. The big kahuna is always responsible. That's the first law of leadership.

Nobody should have said anything... In fact, now I'm wondering if this was just leaked out for publicity, testing fan reaction or both.

SW extras sometimes get action figures nonetheless, peeps.

Alright...this is why it bothers me so much. N'Sync is this lame spoiled rotten pop group, right? And everyone hates them...they need no more exposure whatsoever. The only positive thing about this is Lucas will make more $$$ because all of the teenyboppers will hear that N'sync will be in the movie. If they're in it, the only way I will forgive Lucas is if the movie is as good as or better than the old ones...and if Jar Jar dies in like the first 10 minutes (I HATE Jar Jar with a passion).

BUT, think about it..if Nsync is in it..and teeny bopper girls don't see them the first, second, third or whatever times they go see it, they won't only STILL be looking for Nsync, they'll be watching a Love story (which they might swoon over anakin too)....AND, at the same time....possibly helping it beat Titanic............ now, who wouldn't like to see THAT!!? :)

Ok, Re: Jar Jar... I think the Gungans are gonna get fried myself. Jar Jar? Hard to say... noble death, helping mow down the Jedi("meesa lightsaber slip!), making the audience suspicious of the twins' paternity? :o
