I just read about Marvel's movie deal with Paramount in Wizard #177. And I was wondering what everybody's thoughts were on the list of characters they're planning on making movies on.
Iron Man
Cap.America
Ant Man
Nick Fury
Thor
Black Panther
Hawkeye
Shang-Chi
Dr.Strange
Cloak & Dagger
Avengers
Power Pack
All of them sound like good ideas but I don't know if an Ant Man or Hawkeye movie would do well on their own.

As much as I love Captain America, that costume of his works less in real life than Superman's--you'd have to do a total 180 on that outfit for non-comic book fans to keep from laughing.
Black Panther could work, but I fear it would be dismissed as a black Batman. Thor I think could only work on screen in a fantasy (i.e., Lord of the Rings) setting not the real world. The others on that list I'm very iffy about, including the Avengers, unless they take a X-Men approach to them and ground them heavily in reality.
Of all of those listed, the only one I think could really work well without major changes are Iron Man, Cloak & Dagger, and Shang-Chi. Iron Man could be made up to be a big special effects-driven vehicle, and Shang-Chi can be made into a big mystical/martial arts flick, but I think Cloak & Dagger could really be a good character-driven story as well as good superhero action flick.
