Nightflower has yet to see a new Wendy's ad, but feels your pain.

I know what you mean. I see that part talking about how many great things they have for 99 cents and I think to myself "Dave should be right there." :(

I saw it, too, and it was really weird. I thought at least they'd mention Dave, or put a breif screen with a picture of him. It did seem really weird...

These are all contingency commercials they made in case he did die. Any kind of tribute commercial would still be in the works.

How about "The best of Dave".....a series of commercials. Show all his most popular commercials, old and recent. Howabouthat? :)

They did mention his death. I saw a commercial that showed some clips from his other commercials. I liked it.

I don't think they should take his pictures down out of the restaurants...they should leave them up as a tribute, maybe just add a little plaque next to his picture to tell about his life and all his accomplishments...

I haven't seen any Wendy's commercials yet...I'd like to see that commercial with all the different clips from his commercials.

I'm not sure what to think... on the one hand, I'd love to see tribute commercials. But on the other, I think Wendy's may be attempting to be tasteful and avoid equating the memory of a great man with a ploy to sell burgers. That said, I'd be all for a tribute.

Naaah. I wouldn't worry. I highly doubt anyone would be dumb enoug to accuse Wendy's of using said tributes to sell their products. The tributes would be just what they are. Tributes. :)
