Love it? Hate it?

I personally don't like them. I don't think it helps any...and forcing all of the books to do it...bytes.

Some worked:

New X-Men #121, Peter Parker: Spider-Man #38

Some sorta did:

Wolverine #171

And others completely failed:

Uncanny X-Men #401

I am still waiting to see how X-Force #123 and Amazing Spider-Man #38 turn out, but the "Nuff Said" eent is a very mixed bag. I don't like how some scripts were forced to do this. The extra 8 pages of scripts didn't help that much either, to be honest. Maybe if Marvel also bumped all their titles down to $1.99 for the month, that would make me less cold towards to event.

I haven't read ALL of the "nuff said" comics, but I'd agree that some worked better than others.

I particularly liked the Thor comic and thought the textless format worked very well with the theme they were using.

I also thought the Wolverine comic wasn't too bad. After all, who needs words when it's just one big issue of Wolvie and Wendigo slashing stuff up? :p

However, the Nuff Said issue I have liked the least would easily be X-Treme X-Men. There was simply too much going on in that issue and I had a hard time following it without any text.

All in all, they were interesting for a change, but I'll be glad to get back to the "good ol' days" of comics with text in them.

On a whole they were bad. I picked up the extreme x-men (by accident actually) and it was bad. Almost everyone I thumbed through looked like they just took the word bubbles out and called it a special book.

It doesn't help when writers are forced to do crossovers/special books in the middle of major stories. Exiles was pretty the only other book I picked up in this run because it was written for a "nuff said" issue.

It did save me some money this month because I skipped every other marvel title that was part of the "nuff said" run.

I liked it. It gave me a reason not to buy any Marvel comics for a month.

Wow...I guess I'm impressed by the strong principles that you guys have.

Even if I didn't like the Nuff Said comics, I would probably still buy my "regular titles" for the month. After all, even if the words aren't there...they ARE still a continuation of the ongoing plot lines. Besides, if I had a full run of a particular title, I wouldn't ruin it just because I didn't like the Nuff Said premise.

Oh well...to each their own I guess. :D

Exiles was probably the best 'Nuff Said' isue. And Peter Parker: Spider-Man was also specifically written for the event, and it shows. The issue is hilarious (about Mimes) and is easy to follow. No dialogue is needed at all. X-Force #123 is sorta weird. It all takes place in Doop's mind after he busts a zit. It gets reallt weird really fast, but there's no place for dialogue in that issue as well. I wonder how Amazing Spider-Man will handle it whenever Marvel gets caught up. The 'Nuff Said' issue may not happen until Febuary or March (or not at all).

Well, Punisher Worked, Daredevil Worked, Cable Worked. I didn't think the New X-Men issue really worked. it had ALOT of promise, and should have worked but somehting just felt off. For the most part it seemed like nothing more than a jumbled mess. what they should have done, is let the writer's come up with a 'Nuff said issue on their own time, when they felt it would be a good time. Interrupting the storyline's like they did in Avenger's just plain ruined some thing's. I prey I never am forced to read a "nuff said issue of Deadpool...Deadpool is a comedic title because of what Deadpool does and SAY'S.

Frankly, the Idea was a good one...but it was pulle doff as poorly as it could possibly have been. I expected better from these guy's and this whole thing has been a let down.

If the writers had enough time to make up their own story, then I agree we would have had a great month of silent reading. Another way Marvel could've capitalized on this was dropping the prices down to $2 flat for the month. That would've helped balance out the shorter read the book was. Overall, though, there were some great reads - my favorite being Peter Parker: Spider-Man.
