Tonight, Extreme Championship Wrestling returns once again to the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. Only this time, ECW will not disappear after the event, they will return in a one-hour live show on the Sci-Fi Channel (http://www.scifi.com/ecw/) starting this coming Tuesday at 10 p.m. ET!

Tonight, for the first time on PPV since WrestleMania, both WWE heavyweight championships will be on the line. If ECW is successful in obtaining one or both, Paul Heyman has declared the title will be rechristened the ECW World Heavyweight Championship!

 Damn Jerry what a match. Why the hell is this TV-14 the chants alone make this TV-MA. :D

DAMN! This crowd is vicious but I'm loving these chants. Cena wasn't even in the Orton/Angle match and Orton got a "GO **** CENA!" chant. I'm counting on the opposite chant to Cena. Actually I think Cena and Lita are going to get torn apart.

JBL is gold on mic. "Now kiss my ass! This show sucks!" Greatness. And JBL as color commentator? Love.

And those chair shots between Rey and Sabu sound like the hurt like hell man.

I'm glad Angle got treated like a hero. The crowd forgot about what he did last year. Its hard not tio pop for the man.

So far, so good. 3-0 to start. The Mysterio-Sabu world title match is up now, which means Cena-RVD is your main event. J-Me-L showing up shouldn't be a surprise, as Crazy Vinnie needed to give him something to do while rehabbing his injuries, but I don't want him replacing Taz on Smackdown. He's another blowhard who doesn't know when to shut up on the mic.

I'm laughing at Nick Patrick as the referee here. I guess the ECW referees debut this week, I think.

And I rather have Booker T as the heel announcer than JBL. JBL proably will be worse than the King.

What a great promo.

From Foley praising Stephanie and the alliance, to Edge talking about Santa Claus, to my new favorite nickname "the innovator of silence."

Dreamer lived up to his new moniker. The crowd was dead for his and Funk's entrance.

WOW Say what you will about the Sabu vs. Rey Jr ending but IMO this has been the best PPV this year.

Give it to Foley Funk Dreamer and Edge putting on a very incredible match!

I'm just hoping RVd doesn't get stripped of the title since Heyman counted the pin.

It would be great and all if it did count, byut I have reason to think that Cena will keep the title, and RVD gets the ECW belt.

Cena played heel at the end although the announcers praised him. John Finnegan was knocked out first. Nick Patrick was the second ref. He was knocked out as well. Finish saw Edge wearing a motorcycle helmet spearing Cena through a table. RVD used a frog splash. RVD tried to help Patrick up, but no luck as he was dead. Paul Heyman ran in and counted three. They had a big celebration and even announced RVD vs. Edge at Vengeance. I'm presuming this is a Verne Gagne deal where they say Heyman wasn't a licensed ref and what happened at the arena doesn't count. We'll find out tomorrow. If nothing else, it should help the rating and they'll declare RVD the ECW champ.

What a shocking Ending. Gotta to give it to Vince I never expected him to give his big title to ECW but its more likely to be stript at Raw and handed back to John Cena.

The disputed finish in the main event is no surprise. If Cena pinned RVD, then that makes ECW a joke and the concept is dead. There is no way McMahon is going to legitimately let RVD win clean. So there you go. This will end in a month.

But other than that, it was a WWE booked show with WWE entrances and WWE style wrestling. Not good.

It was a decent show, the matches for the most part were decent or better than your average WWE match, which isn't saying much by the way. TNA still puts on the best PPVs.

It was a fun PPV though and hopefully ECW will start pulling together some cool new angles and bring alot of new talent in. I don't really want to see Sabu jump all over the place and Sandman drink himself stupid for 20 minutes before a match each week.

Ok, finished 3-3. Wasn't sure about Tanaka-Mahoney until tonight. RVD winning the title was the original plan, IIRC, but now it ends up a screwjob to set up the launch of weekly ECW. Simple plan. RVD will be the ECW champion, but as of tomorrow's Raw, they'll either give the WWE title back to Cena or screw him further by naming Edge the champion (which a heel authority-type like Vince McMahon may be wont to do, since Cena's likely to be next on his hitlist after he's done with DX). That would cement Edge-Cena for Vengeance one way or the other. Another less likely option is a title tournament, which would free HHH from the stip that Crazy Vinnie threatened last week.

So Raw comes out of it 1-2. Smackdown didn't lose at all!:D What does that say about the real pecking order in WWE?;) :p

I hope this title win is ruled completely invaild as if it never happened. No matter what you think of John Cena, I can't believe that WWE would be willing to put a damn asterisk in the history of the World Wrestling Federation/Entertainment Championship. The title of Buddy Rogers, Bruno Sammartino, Billy Graham, Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Steve Austin and The Rock now belongs to what is officially another organization. Depending on what happens Monday and Tuesday night, I'm disgusted.

So Raw comes out of it 1-2. Smackdown didn't lose at all!:D What does that say about the real pecking order in WWE?;) :p It says SmackDown! had one match that they failed to win. RAW had a much bigger representation.

They've put many asteriks next to the title, and the creation of the undisputed title did more to harm it than this did. Odds are, WWE won't recognize RVD as its champion, but ECW will. It's simple booking, and minimizes any damage to the title. The belt wasn't hurt a lick when a Dusty finish was done with RVD against 'Taker, and I think the same thing will hold true here. Much like in the days of Memphis with Lawler-Bockwinkel - the fans got to see their hero hold the world title held high, for one night, when it mattered - and then things returned to normal. The difference here is that RVD, no matter what the decision, will likely be regarded as a world champion in some capacity.

if the call is reversed then they could just put the Hardcore title around RVD and say its the new ECW Championship

Well, I went 2-6 on my predictions. What can I say? I like making out on a limb predictions. The problem with that is.... it's a good way to end up 2-6.

WWE may have found a way out of the no-win situation with the way the RVD/Cena match ended. Likely, Vince will declare that Paul E. was not a referee and that Cena is still WWE champion. Then on Tuesday Paul E. will present RVD with an ECW belt.

Either that or Paul E. will produce some referee's license that he earned from somewhere... oh my!

I'd mark out if he said he got it from Fonzie.

Have they officially stated (aside from wwe.com) that Vince owns ECW? Because if not, and Paul E. "owns" it, then he can do whatever he wants. He can claim he was a referee, since it's his fed. Or, if they do recognize that Vince owns ECW, and Paul E. is basically a GM, then he can still do the same, as he runs ECW.

I'd bet they claim that an ECW official can't call a WWE title win, strip RVD, and make the Cena/Edge Vengeance match for the vacated title.

VLADIMIR!!!!!!!!!

The crowd chants were just... wow. Has WWE offered Sci-Fi Network some sort of magic potion that will solve this potential problem?

Shock value aside, my favorite chants had to be "You can't wrestle!" "Same old sh**!" and, after Cena did an admittedly awesome move: "You still suck!"

Oh, and the way they threw Cena's shirt back was hilarious -- and impressive. No eBay for that, I guess.

RVD's second "one of the worst-botched spots ever" in the span of one week was also very entertaining, but for all the wrong reasons.

Y'know, as much as they love mentioning all the WWE stars that came through ECW, why do they never mention Lita in those breaths?

Any reason why Mikey and Fonzie weren't on the show when reports had them being seconds for Crazy/Tajiri (Whipwreck) and both Sabu and RVD (Alfonso)?
