I must note that all the T & J cartoons on tonight's show featured the 'redubbed' Mammy and "Mouse Cleaning" was edited. You can also hear the real Mammy's voice at the end of "Mouse Cleaning" yelling "Thomas! Come back here!" as she is throwing coal at him...

It was also nice to see "Saturday Evening Puss" in its original form, and not with the re-drawn white girl... :)

There seemed to be a little bit something 'off' about the quality of the soundtrack on the redubbed "Saturday Evening Puss", aside from the change in Mammy's voice. The sound all of a sudden gets a little fuzzy and then comes back again, which may just be a bad transfer or it may be because part of the original audio track was removed after the cartoon had been redone for Perspecta Sound.

BTW -- If it wasn't for the fact that they have to pretty much air these shorts when nobody who might cause trouble would be watching, Cartoon Network really ought to change the name of the 1:30 a.m. Sunday airing to "The Mammy Show." ;)

Nothing wrong with that! The T & J cartoons with Mammy are the best in the entire series!! :D

Well, in the original version she says, "soft, soothing HOT MUSIC!". I'n the redubbed version she only says, "soft, soothing, hot MUSIC!" Hope this helps.
