Who still gets Mort Walker's Beetle Bailey in your local newspaper? In my area the Chicago Tribune dropped that strip in 2002 and rival newspaper the Chicago Sun-Times acquired it a year later. Who can ever forget Sarge Snorkel's occassional chasing and kicking Beetle Bailey (inspiration from Mr. Dithers occassionally torturing Dagwood in the Blondie comic strip?) or even sexy Miss Buxley or computer geek Gizmo?

My local paper, the 'New Haven Register' still carries it.

Trust me, I'm *trying* to forget *both* those strips; always hated "Blondie" and "Beetle Bailey". Thanks for the reminder... ;-p
To answer your question: "Bailey" still runs in many (if not most) newspapers across the country; the local paper here (the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel) runs it, though I read my daily comics online nowadays (via a customizable and bookmarked Houston Chronicle website page), so don't ever have to look at it (or Blondie) anymore ...
