Patton Oswalt is the lead character. Pretty inspired casting actually.

That was fun. :anime:

Small wonder why Pixar does great animated films. :)

With Today's Release of Cars, and next Year's Teaser with this flick All I can say is this.. This could be some Great Cuisine...

I mean the trailer is fun to look at...and it's got some potential here..

I'm though gonna be left open until almost the time it opens..

Interesting. This is what Flushed Away will be wishing it is when it grows up.

If they don't throw in at least *one* Mickey joke, I will be severely disspointed.

That being said I'm really looking forward to this film.

Looks very interesting! Cute characters as well.

Well, the plotline isn't the most amazing-sounding, but the animation seems to be surpasing even Cars in terms of detail and Brad Bird seems to be bring a nice father/son dynamic to it. Could be like what happens when Nemo becomes a rebelious teenager.

And am I the only one who thinks Flushed Away will be good?

And am I the only one who thinks Flushed Away will be good?:confused:No. In my eyes, Aardman is the British Pixar. They've got a passion for their films and it shows. All the movies/shows/shorts produced by the studio have an unrivaled charm to them that few can resist.

That being said, I think Ratatouille looks fantastic. I'm an avid lover or rats (I've got two of them...though my sister seemingly has 'stolen' them from me and claimed them as her own in my absence) , and I'm an avid lover of Pixar...so it only seems like a shoe-in. Lookin' forward to the actual trailer. We'll probably get one around December/February.

HAHA! I love the score they have in the trailer--- and I love that little "LET IT GO, DAD!" at the end.

Im really impressed with the rich colors--- something seems different. Not sure what. The colors are just so darn---wow!

I love Aardman more than most animation studios, their films have some of the most charm I've ever seen, and I really, really wanted to like Flushed Away, but the trailers really didn't do anything for me. CGI just doesn't suit that style at all, the characters designs are pretty uninteresting, and the plot feels like it has been done countless times. While rattothingy doesn't exactly have a strong looking plot yet either (hard to judge yet though), it just looks more 'animated' (the movements have a sort of golden era feel to me so far with the action scene) than Flushed, in which the characters seem rather stiff, not very mouse/rat-like enough and too humanised (like their just humans with mice ears and tails) to me so far. I could be wrong and the film could be fantastic (Cars and Nemo looked umimpressive back in the first trailers), but so far I'm not impressed.

This trailer reminds me of the first teaser for Monsters, Inc., where Sully and Mike go to the wrong bedroom and are having like an ad-libbed conversation about it.

Of all the trailers I saw before "Cars" yesterday, the "Ratatouille" one got the most laughs from me and the rest of the audience. I didn't care for the "Open Season" one, or the "Monster House" one (and I think I'm seriously getting a little sick of CGI) but the "Rat" one really interested me. But I hope it gets the kind of editing "Cars" so badly needed...

I didn't want to start a new thread just for this, so: the voice cast (http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=15739) for Ratatouille has been officially announced.
