I guess they were all new to kids WB. Frankly I hate the stupid mutt. Scooby is the worst character ever.

Guess I'll sleep in tomorrow, since KWB comes on Sundays where I am. I never liked Scooby Doo. NEVER. And I watched nearly every cartoon imaginable back in the day. Unlike others, I like older animation, but Scooby Doo was just too silly for me. Even when I was ten. I know this is being done to promote interest in the upcoming crapfest of a movie, but I'm sure everyone here just knows that it will be a stinking failure. With the money they used to fund that putrid pile of waste, they could have kept other *good* series going, or made another Batman animated movie.

I was smiling. I think there's injustice in not having the old pup on a Saturday Morning lineup. ABC was so stupid to have just upped and cancelled hin back in 91 like that. Of course ABC is stupid at a lot of things today, but hey. If Eisner wants to run it into the ground, he wants to run it into the ground. Who am I to judge anyone?

Scooby-Doo used to air on ABC? How long did this last? Was it paired with the much missed "Bugs & Tweety" show?

The only thing I like about Scooby Doo is the basic anatomy design (I'm a funny animal cartoonist, what do you expect?). Other than that, never liked the show when I was little, not gonna like it now, DEFINATELY not gonna like the movie (or at least be VERY biased about it) .


If you ask me, Scooby the sea lion in those old Moby the Whale cartoon shorts made by Hannah-Barbera is more likable (even more so when he cameoed in Sealab 2021 as Stinky Pete).


The second they start airing Scrappy Doo eps on KWB Toonami (...*shudders*), I'm biting my own head off.

Scooby Doo goes back to 1976 on ABC and before that he aired on CBS. The ABC shows were

Scooby Doo/Dimwitt Hour(Scooby Dum was introduced in this one.)
Scooby and Scrappy
Scooby's Laff a Lympics
Scooby and Richie Rich Hour
New Adventures of Scooby

A two year break from Scooby in 1986-1988 was in order, then

A Pup Named Scooby Doo

Then abruptly in 1991 ABC ended it all and thus No Scooby on Saturday Mornings. Until Kids WB pulled out the classics.
