I've been searching through these forums for a thread about Hokey Wolf. But I didn't come across any. If there's already a thread about this, please fish it out.
Hokey Wolf aired on the Huckleberry Hound show back in the early 1960s after Yogi Bear moved out to star in his own show. The character is based on Sgt. Bilko. He was a con-artist who would try to cheat his way towards an easier life. Hokey had a sidekick named Ding-A-Ling.

Didn't Ding-A-Ling get some sort of experimental species-alteration procedure and became Hardy Har-Har?

Hardy Har-Har was Lippy the Lion's sidekick.
It's hard to keep the more forgettable 1960s H-B characters straight sometimes.

Yes, Hardy Har Har (voiced by Mel Blanc) was Lippy the Lion's sidekick in the
1962 cartoons. Actually, a hyena by the same name first appeared in a
Snooper & Blabber cartoon on the QUICK DRAW McGRAW series in 1959. He had the same basic personality (a sad hyena who refused to laugh), but he was voiced by Daws Butler.
Ding-a-ling (voiced by Doug Young) was Hokey Wolf's sidekick. In the comic
books, he was referred to as a fox. Personally, I never saw any resemblance
between Ding and Hardy (in either of his incarnations).
