Okay for those of you who have managed to see it, were you as disappointed as I was not to see some of the scenes from the commercials in the movie? The "Stanford Acceptance Video" scene, or Jack Black drumming on the cereal bowl at the breakfast table and him fighting with a dog over a hot dog? I liked the movie, but was disappointed those shots weren't in the movie. Anyone know why?

Off the top of my head, they also didn't include Jack Black sleeping in front of the TV and finding the remote in his underwear, or the English teacher discussing poets, which went something like this: "Can anyone name some famous poets?" "Jewel." "Yes, Jewel, very good." They keep naming musicians, and Colin Hanks' character says "T.S. Eliot," so the teacher says, "That's right, Missy Elliot," and starts quoting lines from Get Your Freak On. I can't imagine why so many gags got cut. It wasn't really that long a movie.

Was the movie any good?
Besides the fact of deleting scenes from the previews.

The film had a marketing campaign very similar to Zoolander: Pushed heavily on MTV (since they were involved with the film) and pushed with commercials made to be commercials and show the characters, rather than commercials made of scenes. Now this could be good and bad because a lot of times people complain about them giving away all the best scenes in the commercials, therefore this is gaining interest without spoiling anything in the film. On the other hand, the material in the film better match the quality of the commercials. I haven't seen the film yet, so I don't know if it does.
Your best hope is that they release a cool DVD with all the commercials on it...Something which they are apparently not doing with Zoolander :(
