I got this from www.mikeystmnt.com (http://www.mikeystmnt.com/) which is usually pretty reliable. I can't verify the source though. There's some juicy TMNT movie news in here, providing of course that it's true. Enjoy!

-->> New TMNT movie tips !!
..Thanks to A.M. for some more tip offs for cool key-elements on TMNT 4 ..next years big Turtle event.. READ THIS !! ::

Without giving any BIG spoilers and walking lightly here :
1) The central villain is someone we've never seen/heard of/ever has been written about before. And he's not necessarily even a villain.
2) The central villain has 4 henchmen who, as written, bare more than a passing (described) resemblence to certain minions of Dimension X. These are the only truly "evil" characters.
3) Casey & April are in it. Their relationship seems to have evolved post-TMNT II. April is trying to domesticate him.
4) April isn't a reporter. She now works in imports/exports to a hands-on degree.
5) One of the Turtles gets an alter-ego.
6) Another one of the Turtles get a hilarious dayjob.
7) The Foot is in it. They're not the enemy, though there is TMNT-Foot fighting.
8) Karai is in it.
9) Monsters are in it. Lots of monsters.
I won't get anymore detailed than that here.
I do believe the fans at least deserve some bone tossed to them this late in the game... hopefully this helps!
.. Thanks again ,A.M. !!

That's good news. You should post it here since this seems to be the offical TMNT CGI movie thread: http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?t=162205&highlight=TMNT+Movie

Interesting stuff there. Very interesting indeed. Seems like they're trying to cram a lot into it.

A few things for concern:

If the "henchman" are aliens, how will they make this believable for the audience...as well as those monsters listed.

We obviously know that most people going to see this movie will only be casual TMNT fans, most of them will only have faint memories of the original series and that's it. Likewise, I doubt most parents taking their kids to see this movie will remember much of the old series, or if they even see the new one.

Karai raises concern, since she's never been in a movie before, they'll have to take time to introduce her.

Since this movie is CG-i I'm worried it may be written off as a kiddie flick by the audience, (not the writers, as apparently this is going to be gritty), but it's still worrysome.

The fact that this movie is supposed to come out in less than a year and we still know so little about it is also very worrysome.

Some of those facts are a little bizarre. Why would they introduce a new villain? Also what's up with the "monsters"? It seems like this will be a 2:30 hour movie judging from all of the details listed.

I for one would like to know if this is true or just a joke.

i don't know none of those 'details' seem very promising or interesting.

to add to CC worrysome list, what would be the chances of this being cancelled?

The only good thing that was listed was the fact that Karai will be in the movie, the rest sounds...well...dumb. It sounds like a movie for the old toon, when the movie is supposed to be darker and gritter than the first movie was. This is supposed to be more like the comics, and one would assume the plot would be based on a story from the comics too...

In other words, I don't believe this so-called "reliable" source. It sounds horrid.

A promo trailer of the CGI TMNT movie was shown at the 4Kids booth at Licensing Show 2006 (June 20-22) in New York. There's also a display and flyers as well of what the characters will look like.

Do you have any of this material available to post?

The only thing I saw were promotional things similar to a poster I saw in another thread. I also found out that the voices from the show are not the same as in the movie, they got well known Holleywood actors to do the voices. It's not uncommon, Lenoard Nimoy did the voice of Galvatron in the Transformers movie a while back as an example.
