Another year, another LT page update. Here's one that I think you'll like, a lot. I got the chance to interview Bob Bergen, the current voice of Porky Pig! He had a lot to say about his experience, and about some topics that we've all discussed here before. You will learn things you didn't know. Also, I've updated my TV pages with new programming info and current information. And if that wasn't enough, there are some new pictures too. So go check it out at Matthew Hunter's Unofficial Looney Tunes Page! (http://www.geocities.com/bugsy3715)

That was very interesting, but the bit about the new Looney Tunes pilot was scary. "Looney Tunes for the new millenium?" with new designs? Did he mention anything else about it?

Cool the new pics Matthew! :D
I decided to email him with the address posted at Matthew's site. I asked him what he meant by his comment about the new Looney Tunes pilot. He replied:
Hey Jack!!!
Well, the design was kinda...hmmm.....well, hard to describe. Kinda like Looney Tunes meets Power Puff Girls. I didn't see much of it. I did Porky and Tweety. We recorded the presentation several months ago. I haven't heard anything since, so I'm not sure what's going on with it. They always have something on the drawing board at WB. I know there are several animated features in the works, but no start date for any of em. I do know we are doing a second season of Looneytunes.com, which was fun!!! Hope that answered your question!!!!!

I have trouble trouble envisioning the Looney Tunes in PPG style, but at least I stopped having nightmares about Hawaiian shirts.

I think there will be a style clash there...the Powerpuff Girls and the Looney Tunes have nothing in common. The Powerpuff Girls are very limited animation...that does nothing for Bugs Bunny. The classic characters need fuller animation.

WB should get the Gunther/Wahl company to do the LT animation. They alsom animation for The Angry Beavers. However, there are two problems with this. Gunther/Wahl is a Viacom company, not a WB company. And Gunther/Wahl is an animation studio in Korea.

I'd love to see Spumco take a crack at classic WB characters, a la "Boo Boo Runs Wild" for Cartoon Network. To me, they're the only ones capable of reviving the classic spirit of the cartoons. Hell, they're practically the only ones doing classic-style animation these days.
