We will rise to meet the challenge every time...Pikachu is back on Cartoon Network, and he's bringing some new faces with him! New Pokémon, new enemies, and new friends in the sibling pair of May and Max... welcome to CN the 7th American season of Pokémon... and welcome to the Hoenn region!

Week One - May 15-19, 2006 (Weekdays at 5 pm EST)
Note: All episodes past Monday's are listed in spoiler tags, so as not to ruin the experience of those watching them for the first time.

Monday, 5/15: #701 "What You Seed is What You Get" -
Ash and the gang are falsely accused of stealing from a Watmel Berry patch. While they try to prove their innocence, Ash sees the opportunity to have Treeko learn a new attack...

Tuesday, 5/16: #702 "Love at First Flight" - Our heroes come across a Volbeat and Illuminise practicing for a dance contest. The Pokémon's two trainers seem to be in love, and May takes it upon herself to play matchmaker (with Ash's help)...
Wednesday, 5/17: #703 "Let Bagons Be Bagons" - While walking through a mountain range, the gang's attacked by a Bagon. Or so they think... it seems the little guy just has aspirations of being able to fly... can Ash help it reach its goal?
Thursday, 5/18: #704 "The Princess and the Togepi" - May and Max meet Misty for the first time as the Cerulean gym leader's been invited to a Togepi festival the gang stumbles upon. Too bad it's a ruse by an evil colonel to steal Togepi for himself... but for what purpose?
Friday, 5/19: #705 "A Togepi Mirage!" - Togepi reveals its awesome power... and shows the gang a dimension full of unhappy Togepi. Maybe Misty's Togepi can get them out of their funk... if they can wrestle it from Colonel Hanson's power-grubbing paws first.
Pokémon returns to CN... welcome those of you meeting May and Max for the first time! Too bad you can't see how they joined the gang...

I'm not sure if these talkbacks are warranted... the premiere episode talkbacks are only done on a monthly basis. We'll see if there's enough feedback to warrant regular weekly talkbacks for these episodes here...

Speaking of which, keep all stuff about episodes that have not aired on CN past this point out of this talkback. If you want to talk about the latest Kids' WB premiere episode, please post in the talkback thread in the Anime Forum, not here! Thank you very much!

Well, there's only four/five episodes each month, so it works out. And more people here watch Miguzi than KWB Weekdays.

I have to say, this season's theme song is still one of the best!

I don't get CN anymore, so I have to ask...is CN still cutting out the opening of each episode? That little bit that plays before the theme song, I mean.

I have to say, this season's theme song is still one of the best!I think it's lost some punch... not as great as I remember, but still one of the show's better dub OPs.

Personally, I never understood why CN cut out some of those openings to begin with.

Isn't it a bit too early to ask that question? They only aired two episodes so far.

As for today's episode, I've always wondered why the writers made all three of the main girls (May, Misty, Jessie) fascinated by the idea of love.

It's also funny that May says, "You'll find out when you're older, Ash," despite the fact that he's at least three years older than she is.
