Anyone catch the adult version of Steve in the background during Stan's and Francine's talk on the plane?

I hate this Steve and Roger secondary plot as much as I hate the Meg-bashing, and that's A LOT.

Crappy episode. That Milton Bradley thing was about 3% humorous. A plot about wanting to kill George Clooney is so lame.
I've givent his show many tries but it just bad, after the pilot that everyone hated i feel it hasn't gotten much better, its not as bad but i still find the show very boring,
I guess i always end up watching it because there is nothing else to do, and its straight after FG and Simpsons,
anyays as far as the season finale it was nothing special i don't know maybe the show is just not for me,
i don't want to be a 'hater' so yeah i'll just not post on its talkbacks anymore i guess..

The subplot was terrible, probably the worst of the Steve/Roger subplots so far.
The main plot was OK, nothing special. I didn't actually expect them to expand on the "Francine hates George Clooney" joke from earlier in the series, although it was a nice bit of continuity (that and the muffin kiosk comment).
2.5/5 (rounded up to 3 for actually showing some continuity)

What a really odd premise. I did like it. Roger's subplot didn't amount to much, but the central story was engaging enough to make up for that. I prefer Dinah Washington's take on "I've Got You Under my Skin" but that's splitting hairs, and I suppose it wouldn't have fit the scene.
I enjoyed it more than I did tonight's Family Guy.
Errr... you know, I haven't very much to say.
So then...

This was a really strange episode. For most of it, I was just staring going "whaa?" and smiling sometimes. Then at the chase scene at the end, the absurdity of the entire plot hit me at once and I could not stop laughing. It was pretty cool that they had a plot stretch over a whole year, but they could have had the episode focus solely on the A-plot and I wouldn't have noticed a difference. What was the deal with Hayley having cancer? That made no sense.

Probably a way to show the long passage of time. I personally think it was funny how in one scene she looks ready for her deathbed and the very next time we see her she's well on her way to what looks like a complete recovery.

This ep of American Dad was about on the same level as tonight's FG IMHO. Wow Francine can be a real psycho in this eps! Both A and B plots weren't very interesting tonight although Hayley getting sick left me with more questions than answers.
3/5 An okay ep with 2 mediocre plots.

An pretty good episode of Family Guy. At least the Roger subplot had closure instead of that abrupt ending in last week's. It was all worth it in the end to see George Clooney bawl like an infant.

I'm surprised at the reactions here; I thought it was yet another great AD episode. I like how the show is moving into some really weird plots while still being, well, good. With these type of plots it seems kinda like it's being what some of the more ambitious Adult Swim shows wish they could be. It's one of those plots that's "LOL, SO RANDOM!" but they made good on it.
The subplot, granted, did not do much for me. But as usual, it only took up a small amount of time, and if they didn't show anything going on at home we would've all been wondering about it.
Francine's plot was cool, and it succeeded in adding some interesting (albeit psychotic) stuff to her character without being all "HA HA, LOOK HOW CRAZY SHE IS! LAUGH! LAUGH!!!!!" Plus, there were just a lot of funny gags. Perhaps the best gag was Stan's tears at the end -- priceless. And that plot twist was cool also. As usual, it was a curveball from what I assumed would be a straight-up "I won't go through with this revenge, I'm happy with my family" ending.
I also loved the diagram.
And am I the only one who rewinded my tape just to listen to Francine tell George Clooney "Mine too" a second time during the bar scene?:nurse:

Great sight gag.
I enjoyed the main plot very much. Having Francine go this psycho just seemed to work humorwise. I liked the twist even better...for those who didn't pick up on it, the way this kind of story always goes is that the woman plans to break the man's heart, but ends up falling for him. Every time. But it wasn't Francine, it was Stan (in a way). I thought that was great.
The Roger/Stan subplot was superpoop. Roger isn't Bender.

George Clooney is the last guy I would ever expect Stan Smith to actually like. I thought the episode was pathetic- though I did think everything leading UP to the plot was pretty good.
Eh, every really good show deserves a few bad episodes. Hey, the Simpsons have been pullin' em for like the last 7 years! BAAAAAAAAAZING!!!!!!!!!!

Right, I forgot about that. I was so hoping that wasn't going to happen, and it didn't.

This episode had some of the best animation so far, but it's not my favorite episode.

So Francine's dream... well, new dream after the 'muffin kiosk,' was to kill George Clooney?! Well, suffice to say, usually I'm praising the journey to the ending but thrashing the ending themselves. This time, it's the other way around.
There was that great 'end of 2nd Act' twist with Stan falling for Clooney (rather than Francine, which would be the 'expected' twist), but otherwise, this episode didn't do much for me until the crazy 'Stan v. Francine' race to Clooney finish.
The subplot was one of those 'it's just there' deals. Roger suddenly converting the swimming pool to a vineyard, then hiring child labor to work it for him? Oy... And I'd love to make sense of Hayley being diagnosed with some deadly disease and then recovering from it, but... uh, yeah...
6 out of 10 for "Tears of a Clooney."

What the heck was up with Hayley at the beginning? Cows raped for their milk? I thought she was the sane one.

Yeah, I've noticed Hayley (admitably my fave) has been kind of... off in the past few episodes. Perhaps whatever she had was throwing her into some kind of delirium in the early stages? In the real world, I can think of two possibilities:
1. The writers have been off their game with her lately. Totally possible
2. Hayley's contracting "Meg Syndrome" (abuse for the fact she's a teenage girl and hard to write for), in which case I will probably stop watching as I've already made clear my feelings on that issue recently...

If she was "the sane one", then this show would just be yet another "look how stupid Conservatives are" comedy. While it still clearly has a politically Liberal/Democratic slant (the show's main premise revolves around a super-Conservative member of the Bush administration, after all), I think Hayley's character is supposed to provide some balance, i.e. NOT being even more ammunition against Stan.

What was the point of this episode?
After the season finale of S2, I realized that I just don't care for AD. My girlfriend despises it, and you know, no matter what people say about FG, its still much, much. MUCH funnier than AD can ever hope to be. When its not being unfunny, its being offensive. Apparently to most folks offensive = clever humor, but not to me. So yeah...S3 I probably won't tune in for.

I'm confused. Are you saying AD is more prone to offensive humor than FG? I can't wrap my head around that.
