All I know is that Lynda (his wife/girlfriend) is a reporter (isn't everybody?) and that he helps her with stories kinda like a Lois and Clark deal...that is, is everyone knew Clark had powers....

If everyone knows who he is, doesn't that make his girlfriend a target?

All the time...least in the Flash comics I've read...

Thing is, in the comic, Flash could check in on her once a second, or more, while doing whatever else he is doing, assuming he's on Earth, anyway. He could be holding a conversation with Superman in Metropolis and checking his wife in Keystone simultaneously, without Supes noticing.
Besides, several other speedster reside in Keystone or Central, and I'm sure they make a habit of checking her periodically ( once every 10 seconds, maybe ;)

Linda hasn't been introduced yet, so she doesn't count.
We'll probably find out when the Flash takes center stage in an episode.

It was always my impression that Wally West was independently wealthy, at least in the comic book.

So is Linda his girlfriend or his wife? He sure seems to be interested in Hawkgirl. One thing's for certain--he'd better not bring Linda to a bar anytime soon. Or if he does, and Hawkgirl walks in, I'd do as she says. She had more than enough testosterone to go around last night! :)

Yeah, if you look at the early issues of the current Flash series, they make it clear that he's rich. I don't remember how he got all of that cash, but he's loaded.
In the comics, Linda was his girlfriend for a long time, then they got married a few years back. I doubt that Linda is going out with Flash or even exists in the JL universe. Like others have said in the past, it seems like they're mostly using the Flash from the early issues of his series, in which he was more arrogant, his speed was toned down a little, and he loved to hit on the ladies. And IIRC he never had any one girlfriend for very long.

In issue #1 of the current Flash title (written by Mike Baron), Wally won the lottery!

Lucky Flash! That so rocks, be a superheroe and win the lottery. It's fun to see Flash hit on Hawkgirl, even though he's already married in the comics...which really depressed me when I first learned that fact *sobs*. From some Nighty comics I've gotten the hint that Flash works alot with the Titans still, not sure what else.

Flash used to be in the Titans and JLA, now Jesse Quick is a member of the Titans and Wally is JLA all the way.

He won the lottery? What luck he has. I think him and Hawkgirl would make an interesting pair.

That would be cool. I've already noticed that in just about every posed picture of Hawkgirl that I've seen, the Flash is usually right beside her. I know he's a fast mover, but really.... ;)
