Animal Crossing anime annouced

The currently untitled Animal Crossing animated movie is is being prepared for a planned Japanese opening in December. Serving as director is Jouji Shimura, known for his work on Master Keaton and Shin Angyo Onshi. The game's staff is said to be cooperating on the project, which promises to retain the themes that have helped the game appeal to all audiences.
A US release for the movie has yet to be announced.

Maybe it's a "Tom Nook tries to take over the town and we must find the sunken treasure of One-Eyed Willy to help save it". Or the "I haven't payed my mortgage yet so I must play dodgeball and golf in order to stop Tom Nook from foreclosing my house."

Why does everyone hate Tom Nook so much?

Reason why I hate Tom Nook (In no particular order, note that some of this is stuff my friends and I talk about):

1. He charges too much for your house.

2. I theorize that he is the head of the mob.

3. He brakes peoples legs for not paying debts.

4. Who's kids are those working on top of Nookingtons?

5. How come he the only shop in town with everything you need?

6. Tries to screw you in the stalk market.

7. Doesn't sell items that I want to buy.

Well I know one thing about this movie, that it is not going to revolve around the Gyroid rebellion. Stupid Gyroids ruining my chances for finding fossils, there has to be a reason for their exsistance, maybe the movie will explain.

Why does everyone hate Tom Nook so much?
In AC:WW, a character will sometimes show you letters that they recieve from NPCs. One of the letters is a cry for help from one of Nook's slaves. (I kid you not. It's really there)

If those pics are just the prototype, then they might try to incorporate cel-shading as the anime art. It would fit the mood and games better.
