I know most people hate the show. I tolerate it myself (it's gotten better). So I was wondering since so many love Batman, what are they expecting to see, or hope to see in the season premiere. Personally, I hope that Static goofs up and Batman digs into him, telling him that he shouldn't be playing around in a dangerous business like crime fighting.

I'm also curious as to what role Robin will play. Will he be the normal Robin that got along with Bruce, or will it be the Robin that was getting tired of living in Batman's shadow.

I'm looking forward to it...I LIKED Static Shock...(even more than X:Men E.)
It's still Tim Drake...albiet a somewhat older Tim Drake (from the looks of things)

Not sure how this fits in with RotJ...or if their ignoreing continuity...which wouldn't surprise me...

Continuity doens't matter here to me, since this is not an "official" Batman/Superman/Justice League/Batman Beyond storyline to me. So they can make Robin as old as they want, make Robin a girl, make Batman wear purple... it doesn't matter what they do to him when they take him out of the Dini/Timm DC Universe, since the story won't count.

Nope.

Not at all. 'Street' life does NOT translate well into a cartoon series. It was more of a 90's-style Fat Albert more than a Superhero show.

I liked Static, It's no BSTAS/BB obviously, but I thought it was entertaining. I'm looking forward to seeing Batman & Robin in the premiere.

I have never seen Static before and had never really even heard of it, but I will definately be checking out this one with Batman, Robin and The Joker. I'm gonna tape it after the 60s Batman movie I taped tonight just in case it's worth keeping.

Batman does wear purple. His costume's highlights on Justice League are charcoal purple.

I'm not impressed by Static Shock, but I'm looking forward to seeing Batman and the Joker slumming on their unappreciative former network.

I'm actually quite excited for the new Static Shock premiere. I'm not really a HUGE Batman fan the way everyone else seems to be so it's not really an issue for me that He and Robin are in the show. It's exciting they're in the episode, but I'm not worried about how they'll look and be portrayed.

The main reason I'm excited for Static returning is because I'm really happy to see more US-based animated programming on television as opposed to the growing number of anime series. Show like Moncolle Knights, Flint the Time Detective, Medabots, Yugi-Oh, Cardcaptors, etc are less enjoyable and obvious attempts at cashing in on the popularity of shows like Pokemon & Digimon.

I'm also excited for the return of the Zeta Project and more X-Men Evolution episodes.

I'm excited....mainly cuz it'll probably be the last chance to see Tim Drake/Robin animated for awhile... new avatars!!!!

*ahem*

Though, one thing got me curious....as with all the the other TNBA re-designs, Bruce Timm did Robin...did he re-design this one as well?

I'm not a big Static fan... if I'm awake on Saturday mornings and have nothing better to do, I'll watch it. But that doesn't happen very often.

However, I'm looking forward to the premiere... from what I've heard, the creators are BIG Batman fans, and have made the episode darker than the Static norm. So I'll give it a shot.

I'll probably watch it just to see what Batman and Robin look like on there, but that'll probably be it. I'm not that much of a Static fan.

i'm kinda nervous about the ep...i just have a feeling that they're really going to screw up batman and the joker.. it's not they're show, so i have this sinking feeling that they're going to try and make you believe that static can one-up batman in some way  ...i've only been impressed with a few eps of this series so far.. if no actual btas creators are involved with the storyline, then it's really iffy to me right now...

Eh...

That's pretty much what i think of it. It's not the best, but i happily watch it as opposed to other bad shows on. I am looking forward to the premier though. :)

I ma sorta worrie dif they'll resort to the "saves Batman" sorta thing. It's possible since Static has 'experience' with the other Bang Babies and Batman doesn't. So I predict Batman will be smacked around for awhile before either Static saves him, or he saves himself.

DG, I think you're right. That's probably what's gonna happen. Comics Continium just put up some new pics for the ep. One of them has Batman and Robin tied up with the Joker laughing...
